@Flapjacker48 policing has already become so politicised with the PCCs aligned to party politics. The thought of becoming basically the enforcers of the whims of a Home Secretary is horrifying.
She already wants to strip officers of the right to a neutral chair in misconduct panels so that the politicians can exert even more power through PCC putting pressure on chief constables that will chair these proposed panels.
And ironically we have a purdah on posting anything political publicly at election times, when police forces have never seen such levels of political influence.

And even my Dad, the most dyed-in-wool Conservative, thinks she's awful. That is quite a feat.

I think the issue that @hamstersarse is probably having is that she may share a lot of Braverman's abhorrent views and ignorant prejudices, and she is therefore unable to grasp why everyone else finds them so offensive. At least, that's the only explanation that I can find for her persistent line of questioning on this thread.

Braverman's comments are all in the public domain, and it's pretty easy to find out what she has said. So the only logical conclusion is that @hamstersarse knows exactly what she has said and doesn't see any issue with it.

A lost cause as far as I'm concerned, so it isn't worth the effort of trying to explain.

The woman is nothing short of an ultra right wing fascist in my book .

Dear ma, what nasty and truly vile things people are saying on here. You do realise outside London most people agree with her and are terrified of Muslim immigration and the views shouted at the demonstrations. How nice, to describe such people as uneducated!

I think most people with common values would condemn SB for saying she'd prosecute anyone who gives a homeless person a tent and that homelessness is a "lifestyle choice".

Or how about writing an article in which she calls this weekend's protests as "hate marches".

Or attempting to get the Met Police to do her bidding and Commissioner Rowley telling Sinak she can do one.
