We had 'the hall seat' - a big wooden bench in the hallway, that you could store things inside. It had binoculars in, the yellow pages, picnic blankets, a long spool of cable and we could sit on it while on the landline phone.

I'd love something like this but our hallway isn't big enough.

Drop leaf table - Iis that what they're are called?

The dining tables, where you can fold down the top.

I can't work out if they are very old fashioned or bloody brilliant.
I have a living room/dining room and my 4 seat dining table is great. But just wondering whether to get a folding table thing to mske more room.

GreyCarpet · 03/10/2023 00:03

A hostess trolley.
A pressure cooker.
A nest of side tables.

AquaTofana · 03/10/2023 00:03

Twin tub washing machine, wood chip wallpaper, silverfish 🤢and an outside toilet.

DahliaMacNamara · 03/10/2023 00:05

Cassette player
Ottoman
Chip pan

Wouldn't mind any of those things now. Though I don't think a crusty pan full of used oil would be an especially stylish feature.

A toasting fork. And a coal fire, for the best toast I've ever tasted.
