We had 'the hall seat' - a big wooden bench in the hallway, that you could store things inside. It had binoculars in, the yellow pages, picnic blankets, a long spool of cable and we could sit on it while on the landline phone.

I'd love something like this but our hallway isn't big enough.

One of those salad spinner things to dry salad leaves after they've been washed.

The dining tables, where you can fold down the top.

I can't work out if they are very old fashioned or bloody brilliant.
I have a living room/dining room and my 4 seat dining table is great. But just wondering whether to get a folding table thing to mske more room.

Wouldn't mind any of those things now. Though I don't think a crusty pan full of used oil would be an especially stylish feature.
