So much.
A glass cabinet for the good plates/bowls/cutlery that when I was growing up never got used, the cutlery maybe a few times, Now my parents use it for Christmas and other holidays.
A dishwasher (we had one for a while, then it died and never replaced it).
A linen and a walk-in cupboard,
Now we (my partner, son, and me) have a tiny cupboard for all those things.
Basically, 2 of everything lounge rooms, dining rooms actually had 3 bathrooms 2 car garage (at my parents home).
we have a 1 car garage but can not fit any cars in it it's just so small, and for us, it's our storage space as we have no storage in our unit/flat/apartment.

An electric bar fire. Portable, you plugged it in as needed.
A dish mop ( very good, actually, I wish they still made them for glasses).
Radiogram.
Collar studs and stud box ( for my father who worked in the City) . You changed your collar every day, but had two or three shirts in a five day week.

They do

My grandparents had similar for linen and blankets. No central heating so the blankets were piled high in winter. Hot water bottles too, though we still use a hot water bottle.

The fact that a cigarette-shitting donkey existed in the world has made my day. I don’t smoke, but if I ever find one of these I might just take it up.
