I know it's been endlessly mentioned, but it still for me has to be the Kat and Zoe scene from Eastenders : "You ain't my mother! " "Yes, I am!"

"Marrcoos" Tandy's Triumph TR7 Renault Alpine getting blown up in the last episode of Eldorado.

God I loved that show. 30 years ago now though, jeez.

Hilda looking at Stan's glasses after he died.

MrsTwartle · 22/09/2023 15:28

I think about Kerry being shot by duck hunters and Madge finding Harold’s washed up glasses more than I think is normal.

Den handing Angie divorce papers on Eastenders. I think it was a Christmas special.

Hilda Ogden in Coronation Street, after Stan died and she brought his personal belongings home from hospital. Her sitting at the table, opening his spectacles case.

Eastenders: Little Mo finally breaking after years of abuse and bashing Trevor over the head with an iron. Shame it didn't finish him off there and then. Some of their storylines were harrowing.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 22/09/2023 15:39

Trevor Jordache being stabbed in Brookside when he discovered Beth and Mandy trying poison him with painkillers.

Duckingella · 22/09/2023 15:41

Eastenders when Pauline hit her husband round the head with a frying pan after discovering his affair;that was golden.

Me too I was gutted when it was axed 😭
It started off crap but once they had announced it would finish , the storylines started to get much better, more believable

If The Archers counts as a soap, when Mark Hebden was killed in a road accident. I was listening in the car while parking to start work at 7:15pm. It was so unexpected, I couldn’t get out of the car for a while.

AnxiousAnniee · 22/09/2023 15:48

Got to be Richard Hillman driving into the canal. I was only about 10 when that aired and I still remember it

fioritura · 22/09/2023 15:49
