So it is Russell Brand

The biggest news story of the year is about someone who has already written books about all the stuff he has done. I will be surprised if Dispatched can say one thing I didn't already know.

Rape & sexual assault. Are you always so dense or do save it up so that you can defend rapists?

You're cherry picking. It said they felt used. It is important testimony because it establishes a pattern of manipulative and callous behaviour, where young, naive women were repeatedly and consistently targeted.

Dispatches: Here is some evidence of rape and patterns of abusive behaviour
Them: WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE

rapists gonna rape and can't be held responsible for that?

fuck off.

SheilaWilde · 16/09/2023 21:51

Thanks CherryMaDeara that makes sense, blocking it makes them look even worse.

Knobbing? You mean (allegedly) raping right?

Yeah.

Have we actually learnt anything since Jimmy Saville?

newsflash, shoving your dick down someone’s throat as they try to say no is illegal.

Fucking hell some people are disgusting on here tonight.

StBrides · 16/09/2023 21:53

Don't engage with blatant victim blaming, just report all the f*ckers

anotherside · 16/09/2023 21:54

Seems to be 5 minutes of serious accusations spun into a 90 minute drama for the masses to tut-tut “what a horrid man”.

ThePoshUns · 16/09/2023 21:54

How on earth was he ever given a job on radio 2?

Bouledeneige · 16/09/2023 21:55

Watching with DD23. We are sickened, he's revolting and suspect many male celebrities have behaved in the same way. It's just seeing women as holes.

As I just said to her (as a CEO) ' if I did this at work with all my young male colleagues I'd be sacked'. 'Yes, as you should be' she replied.

RedToothBrush · 16/09/2023 21:55

Just because you say yes once, is not consent for every other sexual encounter.

Cos R-A-P-E

Frodedendron · 16/09/2023 21:55

So much of this reminds me of the film "She Said" about the newspaper investigation into Harvey Weinstein. Very similar pattern. @Falconfield I strongly recommend you watch that film to understand just how hard it is to get these stories out in the open, nevermind getting them to court first.

SheilaWilde · 16/09/2023 21:56

Bloody hell the BBC stuff, especially with JS is vile! How was it allowed?

Islandsadness · 16/09/2023 21:56

@Invalidusername88

Yes you've fucking missed something.

I don't see how I was victim blaming. I said in relation to the big brother they stated that the distressed women were distressed because he didn't call them back which is exactly what the programme said.

JenniferBooth · 16/09/2023 21:56

That interview with Savile is sickening

That’s an answer in itself - Channel 4 denied any knowledge so wouldn’t have gone to the police.

I don’t believe they didn’t have knowledge, they’re hiding behind their lawyers.

ThePoshUns · 16/09/2023 21:54

How on earth was he ever given a job on radio 2?

Well quite.

How did it happen?

Well, cos no one fucking sacked him for harassing women repeatedly. Instead he made a career out out of it.

He had 'untouchable' status.

hear hear

DorisHatt · 16/09/2023 21:57

JS and RB openly 'joking' and their obscene comments about this is sickening. How dare anyone think this is just women with an axe to grind.
