The biggest news story of the year is about someone who has already written books about all the stuff he has done. I will be surprised if Dispatched can say one thing I didn't already know.

Watching this thinking, yes, I believe you. I agree. But also thinking this is reflective of so many of women's experiences of men, in varying degrees, This can't just be about RB and for the outcome just to be about this individual. We need massive change around the treatment of women in our society.

beatrix1234 · 16/09/2023 21:58

@foxylab2023 I don't see how I was victim blaming. I said in relation to the big brother they stated that the distressed women were distressed because he didn't call them back which is exactly what the programme said.

Yep, I too thought that was weird.

rootsandwings89 · 16/09/2023 21:58

I find it astonishing that people would laugh this stuff off only a few years ago.

And people ask why victims don't come forward.

I'm glad my daughter is growing up in a new era.

It’s more than that. The timing of the ‘comedy’ material aligns with the times he was targeting these women.

When he was making jokes that spitting improves every sexual encounter, in real life he was spitting it into a 16yo’s mouth.

ThePoshUns · 16/09/2023 21:58

The Andrew Sachs incident was a disgrace. Him and Jonathan Ross should never have worked again after that.

Someone posted on Twitter that his 'stand up' was a confession all along.

@foxylab2023 I refer you back to my previous response to your post

I've experienced underage SA myself. I understand how hard it is to get anyone to take you seriously.

He's quite clearly a horrible, disgusting man.

I just feel conflicted about this being shown on national TV before going through legal channels.
They could've shown this after any legal proceedings but I suppose that wouldn't draw as much attention, I'm not sure the media are doing this from a place of empathy and justice for any victims.

I think that’s highly optimistic. Men have been behaving like this since the dawn of time, it’s not suddenly going to change now.

I won’t even bother responding to your victim and women blaming because your post will be deleted soon.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 16/09/2023 22:01

To be honest, a few years ago his behaviour was perfectly normal and rarely reported.

Of course, nowadays, thank god it’s illegal and anything sexual like comments are banned in eg workplaces which is as it should be.

I’ve had a few conversations with DM re “women dressing in a certain provocative way etc” and other things which she knows were wrong in the workplace back in her day but sometimes she says it’s awful that women try to sue men who’ve sexually assaulted them etc eg people in the public eye. I really have to have harsh words with her and put her right. This is is woman who I’d generally say is broad minded, fair etc and would normally be appalled by women being mistreated.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 16/09/2023 22:02

I just feel for all the women 💐

I absolutely agree

and I think there will be a number of men who shall be rightly worried about their reputations

newsflash, shoving your dick down someone’s throat as they try to say no is illegal.

Fucking hell some people are disgusting on here tonight.

I don't know if we're on about two different women. I've only watched some of it. One I saw said it was consensual so I don't have much patience..there are serious fucking crimes going on.

It all builds a picture of who he is. It doesn’t have to all be evidence that can be submitted to court.

Theyspunawebforme · 16/09/2023 22:03

There does seem something weird about it all and I don’t know what

Was this who Katherine complained about?

43ontherocksporfavor · 16/09/2023 22:03

Always thought it was sketchy. Thinks he’s god!

Let's hope him joking that he raped and killed a, woman on Richard herrings podcast wasn't a confession. Tbf I can't recall the context.

StBrides · 16/09/2023 22:03

@Blinkingbonkers so you think these women are watching the figures in the bank balance tick upwards as this documentary continues?

Me too. Groped in my first job at 17 years old by the cleaner at work (at my desk!) and my boss there used to stroke my leg when I brought in coffee to client meetings and tell me to dress provocatively. I mentioned it to my DM and she was appalled but this was late 80s so it was “normal” still really when it really wasn’t.

If you haven’t watched, why are you wasting our time with irrelevant comments? And comments that minimise rape.
