As for reading, I don't want to date anyone who gives off an air of superiority just because they read. I enjoy live music, theatre, art, lots of interesting things - I just don't enjoy reading! Anyone who goes on and on about reading is a massive bore to me.

I wouldn't have dated a single father either for the exact same reasons.

Never "bonding with another man's offspring" must limit your life significantly given that every person you will ever meet (except any children of your own) fits that description.

In terms of the rest of your comment, the assumption that a single mother would want or allow a partner to pay for, raise or "practically deal with" is manifestly false in many cases.

I do hope you state this clearly on your dating profile though as I'd imagine the majority of women with no children wouldn't want to date somebody with such unpleasant prejudices, either.
