A week's all expenses paid holiday in either Las Vegas or the Yorkshire coast. Which would you go for ?

I'll take the Yorkshire coast, any time of year. A small holiday apartment, pub or hotel room in Whitby, Sandsend or Robin Hood's Bay would be awfully grand. I admit I've not been to Las Vegas but, nonetheless, it just doesn't appeal.

I’d prob do Las Vegas if someone was paying, as I can afford a small apartment in the Yorkshire dales.

YouCanGrowYourOwnWhey · 17/08/2023 11:35

I’d go to Las Vegas. I’d never spend my own money to go there, whereas I probably would to Yorkshire.

QforCucumber · 17/08/2023 11:35

Vegas, I live 45 mins drive form Whitby so can go there anytime

BarbaraofSeville · 17/08/2023 11:39

Another one for the MN Vegas trip. Whitby etc are all lovely but they're an easy day trip so I've been many times.

LateSummerLobelia · 17/08/2023 11:40

Las Vegas as I'd never go otherwise!

Allmarbleslost · 17/08/2023 11:41

Yorkshire every time. We're an ND family and I think we'd hate Vegas

FrenchandSaunders · 17/08/2023 11:41

Vegas without a doubt!

Belladonna56 · 17/08/2023 11:43

I would hate Las Vegas, I love the countryside, so it would be the Yorkshire coast every time.

Whatsthepoint1234 · 17/08/2023 11:43

Vegas - I’ve been before and I didn’t gamble at all! There is more to vegas than escorts and casinos.

VeridicalVagabond · 17/08/2023 11:43

Yorkshire. Been to Vegas and definitely don't need to do it again. It was, in every sense of the phrase, a once in a lifetime experience for me.

Plus Yorkshire is gorgeous.

TheTecknician · 17/08/2023 11:44

The attraction of the Yorkshire coast for me is its size; Saltburn down to Hornsea. Plenty to explore and the time to do it, plus the Yorkshire Wolds, North York Moors and Cleveland Hills.

Vegas because my MIL doesn’t live there.

Hoppinggreen · 17/08/2023 11:48

I love the Yorkshire coast, we go quite a lot as it’s not far and we might end up retiring there.
However, for something different it would be Vegas as I have never been

Simonjt · 17/08/2023 11:49

Las Vegas, I’ve done both, I didn’t enjoy the Yorkshire coast at all, but I loved Vegas and the things fairly close by to do.

Flickersy · 17/08/2023 11:51

I've been to Vegas. I'd take Yorkshire every time. The only thing causing me to waver is the buffets.

Throughabushbackwards · 17/08/2023 11:52

I also thought I'd hate Vegas, until I was sent on a work trip there. I absolutely loved it, it's not at all what you might perceive it to be.

Underthelightofthefullmoon · 17/08/2023 11:53

Yorkshire coast for me. No desire to go to Vegas.

RaininSummer · 17/08/2023 11:54

Yorkshire for me I think. Don't like flying and I think the noise and crowds in Vegas would be overwhelming.

skgnome · 17/08/2023 11:55

who’s going with me?
family trip - of course Yorkshire
with DH or a friend- Vegas
I’ve done Vegas before - wouldn’t pay to go back, but if someone pays for a expensive room in a good hotel I would not say no to that

Bbq1 · 17/08/2023 12:00

Love Yorkshire but Vegas.

HelenaJustina · 17/08/2023 12:01

Yorkshire, every time.

Rainbowshit · 17/08/2023 12:02

Vegas. I go to Yorkshire all the time.

Billoddiesbeard · 17/08/2023 12:05

No contest.....Viva Las Vegas for me all the way!
Yorkshire holds absolutely no appeal for me as a vacation destination I'm afraid

justme2022 · 17/08/2023 12:07

Vegas everytime. I love it there.

EileenBrysonsTeabags · 17/08/2023 12:09

I’m trying to imagine a scenario where I would willingly go to Vegas, even if there was no cost to me financially.

Yorkshire 100% for me.
