A week's all expenses paid holiday in either Las Vegas or the Yorkshire coast. Which would you go for ?

I'll take the Yorkshire coast, any time of year. A small holiday apartment, pub or hotel room in Whitby, Sandsend or Robin Hood's Bay would be awfully grand. I admit I've not been to Las Vegas but, nonetheless, it just doesn't appeal.

I love Vegas.

Plus can guarantee sunshine.

As long as it was at a good hotel with a nice pool so I could have some downtime.

Yorkshire coast for me.

Another who loves Vegas and hasn't ever gambled (beyond some slot machines just to say we have)

So much to see and do and great shows.

Vegas I live in the south coast close to all the Dorset beaches and go there almost everyday.

I've been to Yorkshire but I've never been to Vegas.

So it would be a no-brainer for me and I'd go for Vegas, even though I suspect it might not be my kind of place.

But I'd rather find out for certain than sit smugly in a parked car in (beautiful) rainy Yorkshire, sipping tea from a flask and saying 'so glad we didn't pick Las Vegas, Norman, and miss out on all this...'.

I'm coming to the end of a nice two week break on The Yorkshire Coast. Currently sitting in a lively tea garden in Bridlington Old Town. I've been to Vegas four times and love it so I would take the Vegas trip if you are offering!

Las Vegas. I like to get my money's worth, and I've been to the Yorkshire coast dozens more times than I've been to Las Vegas (only once).

Odd thing to ponder on though. Why those two places? Who has that quandary?

@AngelsWithSilverWings I can probably guess where you are, and I had a lovely lunch there a couple of weeks ago. There’s much to enjoy on the Yorkshire coast and I have extensive knowledge of it…but I’d still choose Vegas! It’s like nowhere else on earth.

Las Vegas 100% we married there last year and honestly whilst I wouldn't want to live there it is one of my favourite places!

I would choose the Yorkshire coast. I've been to Las Vegas and it wasn't my cup of tea. Very chaotic, smell of weed everywhere, noisy etc. Its like Blackpool x 5000 😂

Stuck at my desk and the thought of a coastal walk followed by a crab sandwich and a pint of beer in a Yorkshire pub garden has sent me into transports of delight. My idea of heaven,.

Las Vegas, I'm unlikely to spend my own money to go there as I don't think I'd like it but I kind of want to go to say I've been and confirmed my suspicions.

I get random wafts of weed in my street 😃.

Yorkshire please, Las Vegas looks like Hell Unchained. I'm not made for it.

Tramping around dismal countryside in Yorkshire feels like a whole week of Sunday afternoons in the 80s to me.

Apart from shows, casinos and looking at canyons what else is there to do in Las Vegas?

I¡ve done both and would choose the Yorkshire coast.

To be honest with those choices I'd stay home. Been to vegas and have no desire to return (though if the all expenses paid means a rental car and a road trip around the national parks I'm in) and I've done the Yorkshire coast, it's fine but not much to do once you have eaten fish and chips, I don't do self catering on holidays and I'm not sure there's decent hotels

Out of all the lovely places in the UK, I'm surprised you picked the Yorkshire coast!
Vegas for me anytime. Rent a car and do all the national parks. In any case it's easy to travel to Yorkshire from the UK so can easily be done independently.

Yorkshire coast as I've never been. Have been to Vegas and hated it. Hot and tacky as fuck!

I'd say we're roughly half and half here.

I've never been and it is always interesting to go to places you've heard of but never been.

If you'd asked the question if we could do a week in Vegas or a week on Yorkshire coast, BUT only ever go to the one you choose, each year for the rest of your life, I'd have gone Yorkshire, but I'm not turning down a free holiday to somewhere it would be interesting to visit once.

Yes I'd go to Las Vegas but probably spend more time in the area around it than in Vegas itself!
