We had 3 in our old house which was a pain for cleaning but great generally! Now we have 1 & it sometimes drives me mad, especially as we have a teenage daughter. I would love to add another one downstairs for those desperate moments lol 🤣

Four in the west wing. The staff have their own.

Just kidding. One. We have one.

Medlady · 15/08/2023 21:20
  1. One downstairs for guests, one on the landing, four tiny en-suites. Our house was gutted and rebuilt by an American family and I think it is more the norm over there to have lots of tiny shower rooms as opposed to a couple of bigger bathrooms
boboshmobo · 15/08/2023 21:20

4, I have never lived in a house with less than 3... how do you cope if someone is in there and you need to go ? 🙈

Medlady · 15/08/2023 21:21

If someone was in there I would automatically need to go, Bobo

Neverseenbefore · 15/08/2023 21:23

One. There’s four of us.

DixonD · 15/08/2023 21:24

Two for a 5 bed house.

Buckingham palace or Windsor castle?

WinterWitchy · 15/08/2023 21:25

1 outside
1 off the utility room
1 in the cloakroom off the downstairs hall
4 ensuite
1 large bathroom in the upstairs hall

We have a very old house which used to be a B&B.

Hedgesgalore · 15/08/2023 21:25

Two
There are four of us (officially)
Two during the week.
Up to six on weekends.

Two toilets is enough for us.

hellsbells99 · 15/08/2023 21:25

We have 2 - which is just right.
one downstairs which includes a full shower room and 1 upstairs in the family bathroom.
Only myself and DH living permanently in the house but DCs keep visiting and staying over

Mummumgem · 15/08/2023 21:27

Use to have 4 when the children were home, downsized to a 3 bed bungalow now just the 2 of us and we now have 3

Libmama · 15/08/2023 21:28
  1. One downstairs, the main family bathroom, our en suite and DS’s 1&2 have a Jack and Jill bathroom between their rooms. I clean all of them 😑
whenindoubtgotothelibrary · 15/08/2023 21:29

4 - 1 downstairs loo, 1 in an ensuite, 1 in the loft conversion and 1 in the 'family' bathroom. I grew up with 1 loo for a family of 6 so it seems pretty luxurious. Having said that each one has its own slight niggle. Wobbly seat, dodgy flush, freezing in the winter etc.

But MIL's tiny (footprint of the entire house would fit into our kitchen) newbuild has 3 and she lives there on her own.

Drews · 15/08/2023 21:29

2 but 1 of them has never been used because its outside. I don't know why its there tbh because its not even like one of those old outside toilet outhouses. The owners built it out there brand new before we moved in 3 years ago. I use it to store all my garden tools and flush the toilet once every now and again to stop the pipes freezing over in the winter.

SlicedPickles · 15/08/2023 21:29

Main bathroom, 3x en-suites and downstairs loo.

karakchai · 15/08/2023 21:30

3

GoodLordHelpMe · 15/08/2023 21:32

@JustCarryOnWalkingPast nah, but it is a large house so they're spread about 😀

RugglesB · 15/08/2023 21:35
  1. One downstairs loo and the rest en-suite.
Seaswimmingforthesoul · 15/08/2023 21:36

We have 5 toilets. One downstairs, main family bathroom, 2 en suite bathrooms and one on the top floor which acts as a guest bathroom. Far too many but they seem to love en suites in New builds.

Passwordsarestressful · 15/08/2023 21:36

4, and I feel less 😳 by that after read this thread!

MysteryBelle · 15/08/2023 21:37

2 full baths, one 3/4 bath (shower, no tub), and a half bath (powder room). So 4 toilets.

Allthegoodusernamesareused · 15/08/2023 21:39

Just the one! For 2 adults and 2 DC. It's a ginormous pain in the arse but we can't afford to move on extend, so I'll continue to check if anyone needs the loo before I shower for the foreseeable.

labamba007 · 15/08/2023 21:42

One. Currently making an extra one downstairs - our 4 year old can outrun us as soon as we get in the house leaving me and dh bursting 😂

Inowseeyourtruecolorsandredflagswhattookmesolong · 15/08/2023 21:44

Modest home here with just the one bathroom
