Morning! I'm fine! Just getting the car valeted, then Tesco - it's a rock n roll life! How are you?

jeffgoldblum · 15/08/2023 12:37

I'm fine , just slobbing about ( as you do!) , I've got to pop to Tesco later too , and I was forced to eat 3 blueberry muffins because my son doesn't like homemade!! Only the ones from Tesco! 🤣

Puppy managed to pee in the house in seconds just now. I was doing so well today. Not feel like an utter failure at this. She was even being semi-calm and not so bitey.

Maireas · 15/08/2023 18:38

Oh, no! Puppies take some training!

jeffgoldblum · 16/08/2023 08:00

Puppies 🐶, will sadly piss and poo with impunity in the house 🏡, but it will get better, don't give up !

Thank you! How’s everyone doing today?

jeffgoldblum · 16/08/2023 16:00

I'm sat in the garden , the kids are finally in the pool after waiting almost a month for the rain to stop!! 🤣

Right, I've just got home and am very hot and need to cool down. Sets satnav to jeffgoldblum's house - make space in the pool!

Blueberreh · 16/08/2023 17:30

I’m feeling down. Everywhere around us is bad news. I know of 3 people in the last two weeks who have been diagnosed with some kind of horrible illness, in two of those people it’s terminal, my next door neighbour was in a really serious car crash and is thankfully fine but nearly wasnt… feels like there’s crap all around and it’s hard to block it out. I feel so desperately sad for others close by

Needingacoffee · 16/08/2023 17:31

I'm feeling pretty rough today. I have perimenopause combined with other health issues that are currently in the process of being investigated. A GP is calling me tomorrow about my blood test results, and things. I feel like I am falling apart to be honest.

I’m sorry to hear this. I hope you get some answers - and have a lovely big bar of chocolate/cup of tea/glass of wine or whatever makes you happy x

@Blueberreh and @Needingacoffee , so sorry 💐 hang in there.

jeffgoldblum · 17/08/2023 08:54

@Maireas , it's not very big! , we will need to kick the kids out and float with rings and a cold glass of some thing! 🤣

Maireas · 17/08/2023 08:55

To everyone trying to fight their battles today, or keeping it together with life's challenges 🤗 💐

Needingacoffee · 17/08/2023 09:03

Thank you @Blueberreh and @jeffgoldblum . I am hanging in there. I am currently awaiting a phone call, from a GP who upset me when I 1st saw him earlier this year. He was very dismissive of me, and ignored a list of my symptoms. Since then I eventually got a few people listen to me, and blood tests have shown a few issues. I am waiting for a scan to confirm a fatty liver, but there are other things going on.

jeffgoldblum · 17/08/2023 09:08

I'm sorry @Needingacoffee , I went through a similar thing at the start of lockdown, finally got hrt for peri ( I'd been complaining to gp for years ) mainly because it was a phone consultation with a nurse!
Only to get excessive bleeding and tanking my blood pressure, the doctor was surprised I was still walking about apparently.
Now I can't take any 🙄

Maireas · 17/08/2023 09:13

@Needingacoffee - it's a tricky time, because the menopausal symptoms are so many, so varied and so debilitating that it's easy to mask all other problems. I hope you get some answers, 🤞.

Needingacoffee · 17/08/2023 09:37

@jeffgoldblum I had a long fight to get hrt patches, but all the doctors I see still don't think I have Perimenopause. I think I started with symptoms at least 6+ years ago. Also, sadly I binge eat, due to C-Ptsd. So, I have successfully lost weight twice, but put it on again when life gets challenging. I then am worried about issues due to being obese.

I am sorry you found it hard to get hrt, and the fact that it caused issues so you now can't take it. I have started getting a high BP whilst on patches.

@Maireas I pretty much have had nearly all the Perimenopause symptoms you can have. It is debilitating, and has masked other issues like when I had low B12 levels. I am sure there's more going on, so it needs looking into. Wondering what that GP will say to me today.

jeffgoldblum · 17/08/2023 11:02

Fingers crossed for you @Needingacoffee 🤞

Definitely crossing my fingers too @jeffgoldblum . 🤞

Needingacoffee · 17/08/2023 17:09

Feeling so exhausted, and not myself today. GP just called and said I need to be referred to Haematology. I have had constantly high platelet level for months now. Looking like I'll be taking a trip to the hospital a few times sometime. 😪

jeffgoldblum · 17/08/2023 17:17

So sorry @Needingacoffee , I was hoping you would have had better news 💐
