But no. It’s real. I suppose the price tag is for the land 😵‍💫

Anyone want to view it?

Why did they take all those pictures of the house! How strange!

Magnoliainbloom · 28/07/2023 21:05

The EPC rating got me… 🤣

DinosaurQuilt · 28/07/2023 21:06

You would have thought they would have put the loo seat down in picture 11.

The house has a bathroom but no kitchen. I think I will pass 😂

Redshoeblueshoe · 28/07/2023 21:07

I'll have to go back, I didn't look at the rating

Hmmthatsgoodchicken · 28/07/2023 21:08

I love how the description doesn't mention the fact that it has no actual roof. 😂

HarrietJet · 28/07/2023 21:11

Yes, it'll be for the land. How odd to leave a massive house like that to go to rack and ruin, though. What a shame.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 28/07/2023 21:11

EPC G 😆

Hilarious that it has a fully measured floor plan including headroom in the non existent loft, when it's being sold with planning for a brand new house.

BasiliskStare · 28/07/2023 21:12

Ha ha - yep the land and a developer will want it.

Although in true MN style I will say they should change the curtains and paint it all off white & a couple of pots at the front 😂

User16496743 · 28/07/2023 21:12

The EPC wouldn't have taken long to do

DinosaurQuilt · 28/07/2023 21:12

I wonder if someone died in the 1980s and they couldn’t find any family/claimants. The bed is still there.

INeedAnotherName · 28/07/2023 21:13

There's a floor plan?? Just why the effort? 😮

earlyyearssetting · 28/07/2023 21:13

That’s a terrible state of disrepair it looks like it was in a nuclear testing zone !

Dombasle · 28/07/2023 21:13

If you know, you know - 😎😂

Wrong photo ^^^

Oioicaptain · 28/07/2023 21:15

What do you suppose those ball like things on the bed are? Some form of staging?

GreenWheat · 28/07/2023 21:16

It's because the vendor has already done the legwork to get planning permission for the rebuild. That area is full of NIMBYs, so the fact that they can just go ahead and build what it has permission for is appealing. It's funny that they have put so many photos of the derelict house though!

Pixiesfan · 28/07/2023 21:17

@Dombasle hilarious!! 😂

TheYearOfSmallThings · 28/07/2023 21:17

They must have actually taken to roof off to get it in a fit state to need demolition.

GCAcademic · 28/07/2023 21:18

I don’t get it. Why have they provided photographs of the former rooms??

WhatsitWiggle · 28/07/2023 21:19

How has it even got an EPC rating of 13? It's derelict!

HereForTheFreeLunch · 28/07/2023 21:19

They are tennis balls.

There's an open house too 😁
But seriously - 3 acres!

DinosaurQuilt · 28/07/2023 21:21

DH thinks there’s been a house fire which is why there’s no roof. Some of the beams look blackest he might have a point.

Runninghappy · 28/07/2023 21:21

They will have taken the roof off to make it uninhabitable for bats - probably an ecologist will have done that and they will have been relocated.

LimeCheesecake · 28/07/2023 21:26

3 acres - but on that road with planning permission… if it was the other side of the road they could probably double the asking price, roof or no roof. (Other side has views over the valley- it’s a very expensive bit of a pricy town!)

Interestingly, it’s not the only “not finished” development for sale in the town. I wonder if developers who’ve got the plot, got planning and started the build (or in this case, just the demolition), are getting nervous about house prices. there’s others that are being sold with planning but don’t look like work has started.
