But no. It’s real. I suppose the price tag is for the land 😵‍💫

I think it’s sad too, it must have been a lovely house once.

You would have thought they would have put the loo seat down in picture 11.

Would you want to put it down?!! Get in there, take pic, then run.........

Crikeyalmighty · 28/07/2023 22:04

That's incredibly sad- was clearly a lovely house at some point

Backstreets · 28/07/2023 22:04

This is the first time I’ve desperately wanted to see a “digital styling” type composite! “Nb digital styling” of a nice crisp white bathroom “house at present” photo of haunted toilet

OddsocksinmyDocs · 28/07/2023 22:08

What a disrespectful thread. This was clearly somebody's home! Sad

ChrisPPancake · 28/07/2023 22:10

Light and airy.

LimeCheesecake · 28/07/2023 21:58

@HopityHope - they included the planning application number and you just need to go to Kent planning portal to have a look- which I have because I’m nosy…

Bet lots of builders will be at the open day tomorrow to chat with those walking round the land!

Hmm, I tired that with the code and couldn’t find it, tried the address s well!

WrongWayApricot · 28/07/2023 22:13

Does that count as the Scandinavian indoors outdoors feel?

Magnoliainbloom · 28/07/2023 21:05

The EPC rating got me… 🤣

Me too 😂

porridgeisbae · 28/07/2023 22:15

The house has a bathroom but no kitchen. I think I will pass 😂

@Reugny Better than the alternative maybe. Smile

Soontobe60 · 28/07/2023 21:35

Actually I think this is very sad. Someone once lived in that house, and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it was an elderly person who ended up in a home and the house was left to fall into this state.

I agree.
Its incredibly sad to see what was presumably someone's home in this state.
I feel uncomfortable that people find it funny.

Nazzywish · 28/07/2023 22:19

I want to know what is it that's framed on the toilet wall.?..and secondly what books are there in that pile in picture 10.?! So sad to see hat would've been someone's pride and joy of a house like this.

Dombasle · 28/07/2023 22:19

This is the planning for demolition

totallyteutonic · 28/07/2023 22:21

Definitely!

HarrietJet · 28/07/2023 22:22

I know it was last sold in 2015, but how bizarre that it's now for sale for £375k more without the house.

HopityHope · 28/07/2023 22:22

100% that is the house.
It didn’t look like something abandoned over time, as some things like the bedding was just too intact. That’s quite sad to see it like it was. But hey, the planning permission went through after the fire!

CherryMaDeara · 28/07/2023 22:23

That’s so sad 😥

Nazzywish · 28/07/2023 22:23

Yes def this one. Looks lovely

toochesterdraws · 28/07/2023 22:25

Seeing it as it was before... a sad end for what was a beautiful house.

Runninghappy · 28/07/2023 22:26

PinkFootstool · 28/07/2023 21:49

I don't understand the damage - from Google satellite view, it had an intact roof not so long ago. Definitely not fire.

Interesting theory by a PP about removing the roof to prevent bat's. Sneaky sneaky.

It’s not sneaky. They will have done it under the supervision of an ecologist. You have to have bar surveys during non roosting months and if bats are found, they have to be re-homed. They would then remove the roof and over hanging tiles to ensure the bats can’t return and will have to put to bat boxes on site etc. when the house is built they will have to have bat tiles etc etc.

bats hold up builds as they are highly protected so the owner will want to make sure that this is dealt with before the sale so that any purchaser has no problems going forward. It’s not sneaky. It’s standard.

TheFormidableMrsC · 28/07/2023 22:26

Yes without a doubt. You can even see the pink velour headboard in the most recent pics. What an absolute tragedy. Such a beautiful home.

Mercedes519 · 28/07/2023 22:26

I would say the balls on the bed are a boules or pétanque set?

CherryMaDeara · 28/07/2023 22:26

Think we’ve found the culprits for the fire…

What a disrespectful thread. This was clearly somebody's home! Sad

Don't think anyone is disrespecting the previous occupants or family that once owned it...or even the house itself...The estate agents posting is unusual for many reasons, the price tag is hefty and the company who have listed it have done so in an odd way...hence the discussion.
