Yeah I see what you mean. There's a lot of damp/black mould. That'll be costly to sort out.

ErniesGhostlyGoldTops · 28/07/2023 21:28

l like what they've done with it. Especially the botritis grey wall coverings. Fancy.

You would have thought they would have put the loo seat down in picture 11.

Yes. If the loo seat were down that would make all the difference 🤣

camtsaywho · 28/07/2023 21:35

Don't be so daft ! Do you a actually know how much noises in Sevenoaks go for ?? Its the perfect location between town and country ...
Our literal 2 up 2 down went for £650k 3 years ago and we bought a small holding in Shropshire mortgage free
and retired mortgage free at 51 & 53

These things are important to me.

Actually I think this is very sad. Someone once lived in that house, and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it was an elderly person who ended up in a home and the house was left to fall into this state.

camtsaywho · 28/07/2023 21:35

Noises : house

ChelseaGem · 28/07/2023 21:38

Even better though, is the photo of all the glamorous estate agent staff.

I agree with this, those pictures make me sad. Someone used to live their life in that house.

MadamWhiteleigh · 28/07/2023 21:43

No I don’t understand how it could’ve gotten in such a state that there’s no roof, and yet the beds are still in the bedrooms.

Callipygion · 28/07/2023 21:45

Never mind the box of tennis balls. Picture 12 is what’s swinging it for me - a gazunder.

TheFormidableMrsC · 28/07/2023 21:46

This makes me feel sad too, there was a house like this in the lovely part of North London I grew up in. It was in such a state and had to be demolished. Nothing could have been saved but similarly it had the final occupants possessions and furniture. It just looked haunted. Such a pity.

eatdrinkandbemerry · 28/07/2023 21:48

At least it wouldn't be too hot to get a good nights sleep 😂

iamnottoofatiamjusttooshort · 28/07/2023 21:48

Love an open plan bathroom me

PinkFootstool · 28/07/2023 21:49

I don't understand the damage - from Google satellite view, it had an intact roof not so long ago. Definitely not fire.

Interesting theory by a PP about removing the roof to prevent bat's. Sneaky sneaky.

BruceAndNosh · 28/07/2023 21:52

When the blurb says "Open House 29th July" they maen it literally!

DyslexicPoster · 28/07/2023 21:54

TheYearOfSmallThings · 28/07/2023 21:17

They must have actually taken to roof off to get it in a fit state to need demolition.

Yes. There is a massive Villa right next to my house. They ripped the windows out to get round council tax and get the permission to build four houses on the land. Hoping it isn't opposed as no one can sell near it now. I own their drive so awaiting the bullfight over access in. The developer said he will go ahead what ever I say. I can't wait for him to build on my land 😄 feel bad for other neighbours though

Oliesjola · 28/07/2023 21:54

It’s the plot that they will be selling. It’s in a very expensive, sort after area and a house there would sell for millions!

HopityHope · 28/07/2023 21:54

It says it’s got planning permission to knock it down and build an architecturally designed house and out buildings and pool. WTAF did they not include the plans for they? I’m annoyed that a quick google couldn’t find them!

MillenialAvocado · 28/07/2023 21:55

Open house viewings on 22nd and 29th July 😂 😂 I'm trying to work out what those things are on the bed in picture 8... apples? Tennis balls?

AlrightJulia · 28/07/2023 21:57

These photos make me sad - a family would have lived their life there once. A house near me was left abandoned before being sold - the attic was full of old photos, memory books, personal items. The relatives of the elderly previous resident didn't want any of it - they just wanted the house sold.

LimeCheesecake · 28/07/2023 21:58

@HopityHope - they included the planning application number and you just need to go to Kent planning portal to have a look- which I have because I’m nosy…

Bet lots of builders will be at the open day tomorrow to chat with those walking round the land!

PieonaBarm · 28/07/2023 21:59

I'm not buying it unless they include the furniture and curtains. And I want the boiler fully serviced.

The things on the bed are either French boules or crown green bowls.

TicTac80 · 28/07/2023 22:00

I bet that house looked beautiful in its hey day. I'm wondering whether there had been a fire there at one point.
