Aw. I liked Sinead. Rest well lovely.

Verbena17 · 26/07/2023 19:05

Oh gosh! I was literally playing her ‘Outlander’ Skye Boat Song over and over today. Her voice was so beautiful.

LunaNorth · 26/07/2023 19:05

She was one of my heroines. Voice of an angel. God rest her.

Shoesonthefloor · 26/07/2023 19:07

Too sad, oh that song! I can remember sitting in bed after breaking up with a boyfriend listening to it like it was yesterday 😪

WestwardHo1 · 26/07/2023 19:07

Oh that's really sad 😢. Such a beautiful voice. She always seemed otherworldly.

RIP Sinead.

Daffodilsandtuplips · 26/07/2023 19:08

Rest in peace Sinead. I hope she finds the peace she craved.
A beautiful soul.
The first time I heard her voice it stopped me in my tracks..her voice was so beautifully haunting and with a depth and range second to none.

twinklystar23 · 26/07/2023 19:08

So sad, so talented one of my favourite female artists from that time, of which there seems to be a shortage of female talent currently, or maybe I'm just old!

TooBigForMyBoots · 26/07/2023 19:09

Ah Sinead.SadThanks

RudsyFarmer · 26/07/2023 19:09

Sad for us. She is at peace now.

Saucery · 26/07/2023 19:11

Ah gosh, that is a jolt to read. A beautiful, talented troubled soul, may she be at peace now.

That was her?! I didn't realise. I thought I even looked it up.

AfterSchoolWorry · 26/07/2023 19:11

I'm so sad 💔

She's with her son Shane again.

Ah, later series.

Yes this latest season 7

Auntieobem · 26/07/2023 19:16

How terribly sad. RIP

ChittyBangabang · 26/07/2023 19:18

Any insight to the cause of death? 56 is young. Given past attempts is it looking like she has sadly taken her own life?

LuluGuinea · 26/07/2023 19:19

Her Silent Night gave me goosebumps.

I hope she has found peace now.

viques · 26/07/2023 19:19

Poor woman, she had many troubling demons, but touched by angels when it came to her voice.

dapsnotplimsolls · 26/07/2023 19:20

This is just so sad - she had all kinds of demons.

Abhannmor · 26/07/2023 19:20

Farewell Sinéad ♥.

I remember the first time I saw her on TOTPs singing Mandinka, shaved head, doc boots playing a guitar she completely blew 13 year old me away. And she was Irish (like me) and she was female, but not girlie(like me 😊) I fell completely in love with her. Opionated and not afraid to say what she thought. I loved her speaking voice just as much as her unique singing voice. Then years later a friend of mine became a backing singer for her and I met her. She was so shy and those eyes were even more amazing in real life. I was so in awe I couldn't speak. She was just beautiful. I listen to her version of silent night every Christmas it always makes me cry.

Rest in peace darling Sinead. Noting compares to you ❤️

Ohyoudodoyou · 26/07/2023 19:24

Let's hope she knows peace now, peace that she didn't have in her lifetime. Poor Sinéad, she had such a turbulent life.

DuncinToffee · 26/07/2023 19:25

Ah this is so sad
