We had Pinch of Nom chicken in black bean sauce (for the meat haters we used less chicken than usual and more veg). DH and DS had normal egg noodles, I had slim noodles because I'm fed up with not being able to fit into my clothes 🙄

I've seen those slim noodles in the supermarket, what are they like?

They're ok. They need a good rinse before heating as they smell fishy, but don't taste like that. They aren't soft, more like a tapioca texture and don't absorb flavour, but as a sub for carbs, they will do.

It does! Getting inspired by all the aubergines. @Childhoodnostalgia , when you blast in air fryer does it get saucy and juicy? Or more roasted?

Made a right balls of tea tonight. Made a start on Spag chucked all the bits in and put the pasta on. Then went to put some Spag bol sauce on and I ran out. Ended up with a weird Mish mash of chilli con carne on pasta. My shopping list on my phone let me down.

aubergine curry, samosas, bhajis, spinach and panak paneer curry with jasmine rice courtesy of Waitrose - followed by strawberry split ice lolly!

@mamaduckbone I’m doing it for my daughters family tomorrow. I always send a meal over on a Saturday night for them and tomorrow it’s the noodles.

One of my staples. Cook down a tin of tomatoes with butter, garlic, onion, a fish stock cube, and lots of pepper. Cook some pasta. When it's nearly cooked, chuck some cooked frozen prawns into the sauce, then add the pasta. Make sure the prawns are thawed, then serve with fresh basil if you've got it.

Manor kebabs! DP is hungover and the boys and I are more than happy to accommodate! We haven’t ordered but I think it will go…
DP - large mixed wrap and chips, lettuce, tomatoes, hot sauce
Me - chicken shish kebab, all salad, hot and garlic sauce
DS1 - Doner kebab, lettuce, tomato, hot and garlic sauce
DS2 - cheese burger and chips

Made chickpea and chicken curry yesterday so will be having that tonight along with cauli rice. It's one of my favorite curries!

Chinese takeaway, am hungover 😂 actually, I’m feeling okay now but everyone else is out and I hate cooking and usually don’t bother with dinner if no one is home but I really fancy a Chinese 😋

Tonight we had Pinch of Nom Cheeseburger Pizzas. I made mine with Eat Lean cheddar, mozzarella for DH and DS. Served with M&S lighter oven chips. Total Saturday night fakeaway and it was delicious.
