Thai green curry (or approximation). Although it may end up being a chicken rogan josh. Something like that.

DominoRules · 25/07/2023 16:02

In France so cheese, baguette and a bit more cheese with cheese for pudding……..

Whattheduck · 25/07/2023 16:03

Dd and Dh are making pasta with homemade roasted pepper , tomato and garlic sauce and prawns I’m having chicken as I don’t like prawns and we are having crusty bread with it

HarrietofFire · 25/07/2023 16:04

Sausage, mash and onion gravy

EdithGrantham · 25/07/2023 16:08

Feta topped salmon with cous cous and roasted courgette. It's from the What's for Dinner cookbook by the Taming Twins lady and is my go to when it's just me and my 2yo having dinner as DH isn't keen on salmon, cous cous or courgette.

Beef Noodles I’ve never made it before so I’m hoping it’s nice!

Second this! Amazing dinner!

recklessgran · 25/07/2023 16:12

Chilli and rice here - slattern that I am I'm using a jar of Uncle Bens sauce for chilli con carne then adding some extra chilli and a tin of adzuki beans as I prefer them to kidney beans. Serving with a big chopped green salad. Leftover chilli will be frozen and served with a J.P. and salad in a couple of weeks.
D.H. [who's not keen on chilli] is having pie, buttered new potatoes and a ton of green veg. He will have cherry bakewell and custard for dessert but I'll pass on that as I'm a fat old bird but he's thin and can get away with eating anything he wants.

We have this around once a week as it's so easy and YUM!

Chicken in air fryer, rice with a stock cube, served with pomegranate and lemon. We buy the Leon aioli too and have a few blobs of that.

Lazy quick dinner we all love.

Aioli Chicken Box - LEON

Chargrilled chicken thigh with creamy garlic aioli, a sprinkling of sumac and pomegranate seeds.

I have some large chicken thighs that I’m going to bash down and coat in a seasoned flour (black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and cajun seasoning) and griddle them. I’m serving them with jacket potato, green salad and a homemade coleslaw.

TheGriffle · 25/07/2023 16:41

I’m now really looking forward to my tea after hearing you all praise it! I love a lot of the taming twins receipes. I know my kids won’t touch it but me and Dh will.

Aubergine stew with couscous
It's a Jamie Oliver recipe from his website.

Chippy amd McDonald's for us tonight.

No judgement cos I love both of those things but I’m really curious about the logistics of having both! Is one person having a maccies and another fish and chips or is everyone having a combo? How do you decide which chips to have?

We’re on sausages, chips and beans tonight

IHeartGeneHunt · 25/07/2023 16:51

Egg and beans on toast.

GolgafrinchamB · 25/07/2023 16:57

I don’t know and I cannot be arsed. It’s so frustrating.

I want a big bowl of pasta with garlic oil, parsley, lemon zest and chilli flakes, and a tomato and red onion salad.

No one else would eat that, so I will probably cobble together some tedious compromise that thrills no one but everyone will tolerate.

JobzaGoodun · 25/07/2023 17:00

Minted lamb burgers in buns, with a greek salad, sweet peppers and hummus

InTheStars · 25/07/2023 17:02

@GolgafrinchamB I'd eat that pasta with you. It sounds delicious.

ThickSkinnedSoWhat · 25/07/2023 17:06

Carbonara risotto and it was divine!

It is! If I have other fresh herbs I put those in too, or just wilted rocket if I have no parsley.

About 15 years ago DH announced he had “gone off” pasta. He reluctantly eats a small portion maybe once a week at a push. It’s a miracle we didn’t divorce 😉
