Goodness so many blasts from the past, I recognise a lot of these.
There was a poster Never Google Dragon Butter, I never did

I did 🤢

Nomorecoconutboosts · 23/07/2023 23:24

There was a poster named crying very quietly (CVq) who was perhaps vulnerable or maybe a liar.
she was renamed quite quickly as whinging very loudly and similar versions of that.

there was a poster who had terrible presents from her mil - a length of knicker elastic one year iirc

There were many many pram threads.

There was a long running thread ‘sleep is for the weak’ and another where posters tried to eat 10 or more of their 5 a day (fruit/veg)

HaroldMeaker · 23/07/2023 23:24

Yeah penis beaker couldn’t get on with that.

currently fallen down a classic threads hole. Reading about someone with the runs who swallowed a piece of Lego to see how long it would take to arse exit and taking bets on how long it will take

really sad at the RIPs I didn’t know about
and @penelopepipsqueak Flowers hope you recover

Nomorecoconutboosts · 23/07/2023 23:26

Cube of poo

grayhairdontcare · 23/07/2023 23:26

@YoSof that is the thread I remember the most .

ThePoshUns · 23/07/2023 23:27

Poo crumbs

Nomorecoconutboosts · 23/07/2023 23:29

Oh and a new mum who had a 4 day old prem baby and was going to go water skiing. Very odd thread descending into all kinds of debates about whether she could wear tampons rather than maternity pads. Was she wrong to leave the baby with its dad or was this a sensible self care measure?

Who was the one that we all thought was super rich in London and ot turned out to be fake?

And rich woman in France.

And marriedinwhite.
And there was a poster I really loved and agreed with her posts and can't for the life of me remember her name.

Not ages ago but a while back - the lady that got in the swimming pool after taking her swimming bottoms off?

The lady that worked in a bookshop had a baby the same night as me (I name change often)

Gosh so many years when may babies were small and I just can't recall names!

BonsoirAnna?

JaffavsCookie · 23/07/2023 23:30

Been on here basically since the start, certainly i posted a dcs birth report in the autumn of 2000
recognise many of the posters listed, I have name changed many times, especially since being spotted irl by a colleague!
not mentioned i think above but 2 other very lovely posters were expatinscotland who very sadly lost her dd, and a poster called something like jamtarts ( thats not right but cannot recall the correct name) who had a profoundly autistic ds.

Xenia is still here
Don’t get the LaQueen love, she was an out and out liar and exposed as such before being booted off.
Agree used to be much funnier, rarely post now.

Poo crumbs

I could never work that thread out, I mean how can someone leave poo crumbs? 😂. That thread amused DH and I for weeks.

I can't quite remember when I first joined, certainly when we lived in Switzerland so probably about 15 years ago.
Our upstairs neighbour was the vilest person I had met until then. Our DD called her Kreeher, hence my old user name kreecherlivesupstairs.
I clearly remember Pinot et al cos I was a wolef.
Life moves on, we have been back in England for 9 years, but I recall yum yum Franky with fondness

Kreecher! 😍I too remember Yum Yum Franky with fondness. Hope you are doing well!

Oh, and Billie

I remember her mum telling us about the chapel that was left standing when the hospital was pulled down. Very sad when she died

Can't remember the poster....just Billie

I met Billie's Mum today! Her posts about Billie had always stayed with me, and when a new friend (not on Mumsnet) mentioned her best friend who had a daughter who had died called Billie, I immediately put two and two together. New friend got us together this very afternoon, and she is lovely. Very bravely, she now works supporting newly bereaved parents. Sadly, and shockingly, she left Mumsnet because of some very nasty comments from trolls.

EuniceNewtonFoote · 23/07/2023 23:36

Did Bonsoir Anna recover?

MissAmbrosia · 23/07/2023 23:40

Dittany was amazing.

SemperIdem · 23/07/2023 23:42

There was a male poster, whose name I forget now, who confessed to driving a dog (his neighbours possibly?) to the countryside and leaving it tied to a fence pole. Always thought he must be a vile individual in real life.

Was it Erwin or Edwin something?

Horrible thing to do.

Who was the one that we all thought was super rich in London and ot turned out to be fake?

Was that not Crumbs?

There was also a lady whose daughter did dancing, I loved reading her threads.

That was Artandco (or something like that?) She was on here for a few years bragging about her amazing life in central London with two impossibly perfect children. Then someone resurrected a zombie thread .... which had Art asking for advice as a nanny to two young posh kids, BC she had no kids of her own. That was hilarious :)

I miss scottishmummy making fun of precious wee moments
Hully mocking frothers

It used to be funnier and kinder. Fewer conspiracy theorists too.

I always really admired cogitoergosometimes responses on threads- she was always sensitive and spoke a lot of sense to me. Was sad when she seemed to disappear

I was going to say the same

Addicted2Sugar · 23/07/2023 23:48

There's something stirring in my mind, wasn't there something years ago, 2010/2011 and a man posted something about (was it) yogi sex? Brain fog isn't quite letting this come front of mind, or maybe blocked it.

HaroldMeaker · 23/07/2023 23:49

@StGertrude Me too. The good old days when all the children were genius doctors and every sheep came with its own Christmas lights 🤣

I remember Artandco now you mention it. Thank you for reminding me.

A lot of people never liked Crumbs but a I found her amusing.

Scottish mummy and her precious moments was superb
