Lots of fantasists & extremists & deluded in recent years ... I don't remember their talk names but the crazy stuff they say, sure. tbh, I now assume everyone is 150 lbs overweight, can barely get off the sofa, doped up on mental health drugs & leaving out most of the relevant facts in any story they tell, while making a lot of stuff up. Then their threads make a lot more sense.

Xenia was always guaranteed to be controversial, no one could forget iCod though I never quite ‘got’ them.

This thread popped up in my emails as I was leaving Tesco. I smiled to myself as I recollected two ‘games’ some MNs played for a short time -

1. Turn the shopping divider thingy from vertical to horizontal on the conveyor belt at the till. and
2. punch a cake on the supermarket shelf (I’m not a fun sponge, but I never understood that one, and thought it was such a waste)

Does anyone remember the actual, physical book club where we sent a book and a bar of chocolate to someone every month?

Was it Custardo who got bullied by people for having an alcohol misuse disorder? That was really vile.

Custy still lives in England, maybe rhubarb went to France

I remember the book club at the time when you applied each month for a free book to discuss the following month! I won several times, such fun when a parcel would unexpectedly arrive containing a new book! Really miss that.

anyone remember the meltdown over a poster named JJ around Christmas and her thread about being broke? Lots of posters sent toys etc for DC but it all kicked off over people accusing her of trolling.

she was here yesterday. I only realised it was her as she mentioned Wilf. I love it when I see her post & when Wilf pops in and updates us!!

I've been here since almost the beginning, so agree with most of the names mentioned.

ya minge, ya minge is an all time favourite as is I AM CANADIAN. That still makes me laugh.

II know we aren't supposed to say this (apparently upsets newer posters) but I REALKY miss what it used to be like when there was a solid core of posters and you could have a proper debate about something (No holding back) & have a laugh on another thread without the argument following you.

where you knew people.

they were very very good times.

the trolls were a much better grade & ongoing.

there was a real sense of community & proper friendships.

since MN had so many security breaks I name change a lot now. I miss being 'ME'
