How do we check when we signed up ? I know you used to be able to find it on your profile, but can't seem to see it now. Is it possible?

I joined MN in 2009 and there wasn't a FWR board then; I think it started the next year. I used to browse it and found a lot of interesting discussions, but I don't tend to look at it so much these days. There was always a pretty robust posting style and I know some people found that a bit off-putting. But I think the 'policing' of the board was largely because it got trolled a lot, so regular posters could react a little - um, defensively? - if they thought people they didn't recognise were posting what the regulars thought were disingenuous comments or questions.

@Random789 I think the doghouse poster was Valhalla.

@GreenShadow I joined MN with a different user name, so I did an Advanced Search to check when I was posting under that name. I don't know how you would otherwise find out when you signed up. I guess you could ask MNHQ? Speaking of your profile, I remember that this also gave your user number. Mine was around the 180,000 mark - so I know I'm a relative 'Janey-come-lately'. There are quite a few posters on this thread who've been on MN a lot longer than me!

I prefer the Feminism boards these days. But then I am one of those hateful old gq TERFS, so it suits me. Somewhere on the internet has to keep an eye on all things related to women's rights.

Yup, I am the ultimate TERF of TERF Hall myself so I enjoy them! It's nice to know we have a voice somewhere.

Who was the poster who asked if it was OK to feed her baby pureed nuggets? Then her baby turned out to be a Teddy bear? Must have been near 2003?

I miss the SEN boards. I was 2BoysNamedR and the sen board around 2012 / 13 got my son into the most amazing independent SEN school where he is set to go to uni. I can only remember Lougle and she is still around although I left the sen boards as it got very anti appeal / therapy at one point and therapy got my non verbal 7 year old talking - all via appeal of course. Changed our lives forever.

I remember one post when everyone said they do a virtual hand hold at my sence meeting where the senco did deliver the script as I was promised she would. Amazing advice I can never repay

I’ve often wondered what happened to the poster Becca (something like 1990 afterwards) - she had really severe mental and physical health problems and lived in rural Wales. I think the last post I saw from her was about her being removed from her flat. I always hoped she was given the help she needed after that.

The only reason penis beaker has gone down in legend is because it hit the press and caused a load of discussion. The thread itself is pretty uninteresting until that point.

I was on the original Pom Bears threads and the "Are you on glue" one. They were weirdly amusing at the time but not great in hindsight and PenisBeaker didn't even reach their dizzying heights.

Elderly Korean Lady is still one of my favourites.
