Why is the weather so shit?

Stupid miserable British weather.

It was a lovely sunny day - 26/27 degrees!

I guess it’s an individual thing. For me ‘incredibly hot’ and ‘boiling’ would be about 35+ degrees.

Agree. For me 35+ is hot. Incredibly hot would be 45+.

Agree. 25 is a good summertime temperature. When it starts to get into the thirties it becomes very hot - late thirties/early forties is boiling.

Depens where you are 27 degrees in England feels like Greece/Portugal or Spain at 30s.

The sun came out for a couple of hours at about 4.00 p.m. It was grey and muggy before that (Northumberland).

Agreed. Today was a warm day. It was not hot malheureusement.

Lovely day yesterday, 25C , and even a bit of sun. Back to normal service today, i.e. raining.

Short lived heatwave coming in Thursday next week.

Raining today. It feels like it's been raining for the whole of August. I am so fed up. I'm going to Wembley to a concert tonight. This is mid-August! It isn't supposed to be like this. I'm so pissed off.

We had planned to go camping this weekend but looking at the forecast I really can’t be bothered. It’s too chilly to sit outside after 7pm without blankets etc and a storm is expected tonight so lots of events have been cancelled. It really has been a poor summer.

Yeah, I was going to try and get tickets for Noel Gallagher but the thought of standing in the pissing down rain just isnt doing it for me. Bastard lying summer.

The warm spell didn’t really materialise. A few nice days I guess but nudging 25 barely and that’s the SE. What a poor summer. I think that’s it as next weekend looks even cooler.

I can’t see that now? Seems to have disappeared from the forecast. I’d rather they didn’t get our hopes up then dash them!

Ah I think that was this week. That didn’t happen obviously. Weds was nice. Thursday cloudy and a bit windy here.

I feel like I'm being 'forced' into autumn clothing when I'm kind of still waiting for the summer to begin properly! I'm glad we didn't have very high temperatures like we did last year, though.

The weather we have here now is almost perfect. Warm, windy, bit of sunshine, bit of rain. The best of both worlds.

But yes, I am a little sad we didn't have a proper summer.

I give up now. The radio is back to playing sad-boi-cold-weather songs rather than confident-upbeat-hot-girl songs so autumn is officially here. Colder and colder weather imminent. Then winter and Christmas, then a dismal slog to a cold spring, and hopefully an actual summer in 2024. What was the point in this year?
