...can we just talk about how skinny Margot Robbie is?

..first of all, I really appreciate her as an actress and know she is naturally very slim. But seeing the size she is now promoting Barbie and doing all these premieres - she is a lot skinnier than she has been previously.

I don't know why but it doesn't sit comfortably with me. Here is an insanely talented actress who has always been praised for her talent. I've always appreciated that, albeit small, she's always been quite a 'healthy' slim and I've thought she's set a good example to young girls.

But she seems to have dropped weight to become drastically tiny just as she is being glorified as the real life Barbie. And no one's talking about it. Am I the only one whose noticed and who feels weird with it?

Would you have made this thread if she were fat?

FloweryName · 21/07/2023 16:58

Why do we need to talk about how skinny another woman is? Her body is really none of our business.

Champagneponies · 21/07/2023 16:58

Sorry, new to posting images

Mind your own business and body.

MotherofGorgons · 21/07/2023 16:59

She looks perfectly normal to me. I have been thinner than that while eating 3 meals a day. DD is now thinner than that.

BBno4 · 21/07/2023 16:59

I think she's aged and lost the puppy fat.

35965a · 21/07/2023 16:59

She is always pretty skinny, she’s been doing a lot of promoting and travelling of this movie so she’s probably knackered. Loads of actors look skinny (or really muscly if it’s a guy) while they’re doing a film then look more ‘normal’ in between films when they’re off.

TastesLikeStrawberriesOnASummerEvening · 21/07/2023 17:00

You can, I have no wish to discuss her body or weight.

yogasaurus · 21/07/2023 17:00

No.

Harebrain · 21/07/2023 17:00

I’ve just returned from seeing her in the Barbie film. She looked fine to me.

Sidge · 21/07/2023 17:00

Hollywood innit.

Pressure to look as slender as possible, especially as a leading lady.

ClaudiaWankleman · 21/07/2023 17:01

It’s absolutely none of your thinly-veiled body shaming business.

WalterWitty · 21/07/2023 17:01

That first picture is old, even in wolf of Wall Street she was tiny. Leave her be - she is an absolute genuine angel

Unbalance · 21/07/2023 17:01

I think the Barbie movie is all about nostalgia and part of that is going to include the trend for being very, very slender from the 90's and early 2000s.

Barold · 21/07/2023 17:01

Just because it’s physically possible for her to be bigger, it doesn’t mean that’s her naturally healthy weight/shape.

Some people think I’m too thin at my healthy weight but when I am more like her ‘bigger’ picture, it actually means I’m eating absolute shite, not moving much and am probably on a medication that causes weight gain.

So with personal experience of this and a lifetime of being told to ‘eat a pie’ (I bet I’ve eaten many more than most people), I’d say we shouldn’t assume anything.

watersprites · 21/07/2023 17:02

I noticed this as I have seen her in Clapham & I remember thinking it's refreshing as she looks slim but healthy. But she's a massive star now & was a Chanel ambassador so she's no doubt under pressure.

Cindertoffe · 21/07/2023 17:02

No
Hidieous of you for starting a thread on another woman’s body.

LaMaG · 21/07/2023 17:02

It's not a coincidence that she gets skinny while promoting a barbie movie. She probably was given a target size and contractually obliged to meet it, which of course everyone would deny and say that she is just busy/ stressed etc. They wouldn't have hired someone to play barbie who would gain 7lbs between film production and release date would they?

NooNakedJacuzziness · 21/07/2023 17:02

Cillian Murphy has also dropped a lot of weight for Oppenheimer - it's probably just for Barbie

Feverly · 21/07/2023 17:03

Why are people indulging the OP in her gross thread?

doodleygirl · 21/07/2023 17:03

Why do you want to talk about someone’s body? Such a shitty thread, concentrate on your own body not someone else’s.

RenoDakota · 21/07/2023 17:04

I think she looks better in the second photo.

Champagneponies · 21/07/2023 17:04

Erm, I'm actually naturally extremely slim myself and have experienced skinny shaming. That's not what I'm doing. It's the drastic change that I've noticed and keep seeing when she's in the Barbie press. I just think it's interesting that she's promoting 'Barbie' and she's lost lots of weight...
