Did anyone get an access code today? I applied for 3 cities and for all 3 I've been put on the wait list. No codes for me 😔

Bought three upper tier tickets for Cardiff as I had a presale code. Surprised with how reasonable they were and how quick I was able to purchase. Upper tier was not my first preference to be honest, but middle tier were sparse with availability and much more expensive. My daughters will be pleased nonetheless Smile

How much did you pay for your tickets please if you don't mind me asking?

Wishthiswasntthecase · 14/07/2023 22:24

got a code for Liverpool this afternoon. Haven’t heard about London.

had convinced myself I wasn’t going to try but I bet I will …

APurpleSquirrel · 14/07/2023 22:25

Waitlist for Cardiff. So annoying she's only doing 1 date in the SW/Wales.

What do we reckon the chances are for people with a code?
I’m tentatively hopeful

Antsinmypantsneedtodance · 14/07/2023 22:26

Potentially stupid question but why are these tickets such a huge thing? I think I must be too old.

I quite like her don't get me wrong. But what's the big deal compared to other artists? Never seen quite this much fuss. What am I missing?

Saw her live in 2015 at radio 1's big weekend and she was quite frankly disapointingly rubbish. Wondering what's happened in the last 8 years to make these so exciting?

SometimesIwonderifishouldbemedicated · 14/07/2023 22:27

It's a bloody farce, all she's done is excluded the real fans that wanted desperately to go

I got a code, DH was waitlisted. Not sure of our chances even so but will try!

Idlechitchat · 14/07/2023 22:31

Waitlist for Liverpool here.

Lyricallie · 14/07/2023 22:31

I got waitlisted for Edinburgh. Gutted.

DueyCheatemAndHow · 14/07/2023 22:34

3 people, we all registered for 2 cities each. Nothing. Gutted

thaegumathteth · 14/07/2023 22:34

Waitlisted for edinburgh but my friend got a code and is going to try and get a ticket and take Dd with her

I also forgot about Niall Horan tickets this week so I'm not doing well!

It was possible to sign up for presale back in October, you didn't even need to pre order midnights. Its not a perfect system by any stretch but compared to how badly its gone in other countries I think it has been handled well here. Obviously disappointing for those who have been waitlisted but demand was always outstripping supply.

It's been 5 years and what, 4 new albums since she last toured in the UK. I can't speak for others but those 4 albums have been her best and made me a massive fan. I've never seen her before but I'd love to go, from watching TikToks of the US leg it looks like such a performance!

3+ hours 40+ songs, not many singers could manage that or would want to!

3luckystars · 14/07/2023 22:39

Yea but how did they decide who was waitlisted and who got a code?

Old Ticketmaster account holders with loads of previous bookings got no code, and people who set up new accounts just for this, got a code.

the whole thing is very unfair. I hope this isn’t the way things go in the future, it has ruined all the excitement and brought out a selfish side to people.

It was random, they just did their best to confirm accounts didn't belong to bots. Previous tickets don't really make anyone a bigger fan! The free sign up last year was emailed out to people subscribed to her mailing list, advertised on social media etc- they probably assumed many people who are big fans would have seen it somewhere and that's why they did the pre sale to prioritise those people.

3luckystars · 14/07/2023 22:44

I’m just saying I think all customers should have been treated the same, and given the same opportunities.

They were - everyone had the opportunity to sign up to the presale. Everyone had the chance to preregister for tickets. Its as fair as possible tbh.

Open sales to the public leave people unfairly excluded as shown in America as the technology just can't handle the volumes of people. It would be more frustrating if the site crashed in a general sale

Spudlover · 14/07/2023 22:47

Wait list here too, with a very disappointed DD.

stayathomer · 14/07/2023 22:48

Aibu to say this way of doing tickets is more headwecking and horrible? (No code- Dublin:(

ChristmasLightsLover · 14/07/2023 22:49

How many tickets is each person allowed to buy? I'm waitlisted for two places

I think the limit is 4 tickets

3luckystars · 14/07/2023 22:50

i agree. My opinion is that it is not fair. Everyone that registered from a genuine account should have been given a chance to try for tickets like every other concert.

ChristmasLightsLover · 14/07/2023 22:52

Thank you Hoggy.

everyone who saw her in Dublin in 2018 said she was a level above anyone they’d seen. Never heard so many ‘my favourite concert yet!’s

I’d assume that it being the big weekend had something to do with it, I went to her last 2 U.K. tours and they were way better than anyone else I’ve seen, the production level is what makes it like that, so possibly wouldn’t be as good when it’s not her tour.

Also the albums she’s put out since she last toured are really popular and this tour isn’t just her last album, it’s covering pretty much her entire career as well as the albums she’s not toured.
