So there is no criminal offence. The person supposedly affected has said that there is no case to answer. The police are taking no action. A man has basically been trashed all over the media for something in his personal life. He is now in hospital. Great! That sounds really proportionate. Is there some rule somewhere that people who read the news must be held to a higher standard than everyone else??
