Taylor Swift Eras Tour Ticket Swap

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 10/07/2023 14:34

Sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else. I wondered if we could set up a list thread for potential ticket swaps!

I have just bought 4 tickets for Edinburgh on the 7th June 2024, obviously I wouldn’t have bought them if I wasn’t happy to travel but I am in the South and any other UK stadium would be more convenient. Posting on the off chance that someone has done similar, but for another venue and Edinburgh would be preferable for them. I know it is early days for ticket sales, but putting it out there for anyone interested.

I would need to check how to do the swap above board so that both parties are covered. Potentially, we “sell” to each other via an official resale site?

It’s a very long show - 44 or 45 songs. I personally think it’s too long for a young child to stand all that time. There’s an age limit for a reason.

Grunty79 · 02/01/2024 10:49

Thanks for the timely warning...it just would have been so convenient but ultimately if I lose the tickets or money that would be a real shame!!

RHM77 · 04/01/2024 19:54

We have 2 tickets for Liverpool June 15th and it now clashes with my nieces wedding! So looking to swap for any other date...

Hi!! I have 4 tickets for London in August but I mixed up some holiday dates and will not be able to attend. Would you be interested in swapping for London?

Just sell them back to ticketmaster. It's safest and scam free!!

Not a regular mumsnet user, more of a silent reader but luckily found your post through a search. I have two tickets for June which now clashes with a holiday. Let me know if you would be interested in swapping two of yours? I’m sure the other 2 can be sold on Ticketmaster really easily but if you didn’t want the hassle I would happily take all four and sell two on myself!

RHM77 · 12/01/2024 06:50

Ooh which date in June do you have?

Mydogisamentalist · 12/01/2024 07:06

I have two seated tickets for Edinburgh on the 9th. They are not the greatest seats in all honesty. I was too scared if I went back to try for different ones I’d lose out completely!

Long shot but if anybody wanted to swap for Cardiff give me a message 😊

HelKempo · 12/01/2024 08:25

Ticket transfer isn’t available at the mo. How would you do this? I also have 4 I need to sell and I’d ideally like to buy 4 for a different date but it’s not possible via ticketmaster.

HelKempo · 12/01/2024 08:29

I’ve posted before and keep checking this thread! How do people intent to buy/sell/swap tickets? It’s not possible via ticketmaster until ticket transfer becomes available (if at all) so how are you doing it? All those I see selling on Fb and other social media are not legit sellers as they can’t possibly sell their tickets at the moment. Have I got it wrong?
I have 4 seated for London 23rd June which we now may not be able to make and would like 4 seated for London on the 21st June. A straight swap would be ideal but obv it’s not that easy! Any advice appreciated but as far as I can see I can’t do anything - unless it’s via someone I know and trust. Any help/advice appreciated x

You are correct that it would be foolish to try 'swapping' with some random on the internet. I can't believe some people think it's feasible. It might, possibly, work if you advertised on a very local level and found someone local you could actually meet up with and get to know beforehand. My street has a Whattsapp group and people are trustful of each other. A work colleague might be another possibility. Basically it would have to be someone you actually trust.

Another possibility would be to use an escrow service and both parties deposit a decent amount.

We get regular posts from people wanting to sell their Taylor Swift tickets on our local Facebook pages. It's crazy how gullible people are.

If it was me id sell them back to Ticketmaster or I'd sell them to a close friend or colleague and keep my fingers crossed that more become available.

Friday 21st. Seated tickets in section 526!

user1469630981 · 12/01/2024 10:17

The transfer option on ticketmaster is usually only available a month or so before the concert when the tickets are on your app. I’ve bought and sold tickets many times on Twickets and it’s always gone well, they essentially hold the money from the buyer until after the seller has sent the tickets (and ask for proof of purchase before you list them as for sale). It’s a shame ticketmaster don’t have a swap system as I do not want to sell them back unless I can get and alternative date!

feellikezerobucks · 12/01/2024 10:21

@RHM77 I have 2xseated for 13th June in Liverpool if you want to IM me...

Crispsandwichrock · 12/01/2024 10:26

Does anyone know the official resale tickets are usually released? Is it a month/6 weeks or whatever? Missed out first time round and would really like to get a (guaranteed, legitimate) ticket!

I think it’s in dribs and drabs as and when people decide to sell them back, plus whatever delay there is while TM/AXS process onto the system. Recommendations I have seen is to keep checking regularly and you might get lucky.

LordyMe · 12/01/2024 16:33

I can't believe people are still suggesting swapping tickets after reading this thread. Some posters are so gullible and are asking to be scammed.

You might be able to avoid loosing money but you could so easily loose out on tickets.

Threads like this attract scammers.

😭😭😭

RHM77 · 12/01/2024 18:16

I have 2 for June 15 would happily swap for August date.

LordyMe · 12/01/2024 18:50

RHM77 · 12/01/2024 18:16

I have 2 for June 15 would happily swap for August date.

So you will be prepared to send your tickets to someone in June and then just hope they remember to send you yours in August? Do you realise that the tickets are only sent to the original purchaser a few days or a week or so before the concert.
They will have your tickets and could sell them on and you will have nothing but their word they will forward you the August tickets.

Imagine you were a scammer how tempting this would be

Violetsky9 · 17/01/2024 19:37

@Grunty79 Hi, I have 2 Edinburgh 8th tickets and I’m looking for 2 Liverpool tickets! Are you looking for a swap?

Anzibells · 20/01/2024 19:41

Are you still looking to swap? I have 2 tickets for London June 23rd and looking to swap for another date as I’m away!

Anzibells · 20/01/2024 19:43

@rhm77 did you find someone to swap with? I have 2 in LDN 23rd June and need to swap!! Standing

RHM77 · 21/01/2024 16:33

Hmm that date could work but really not sure standing does...

Apparently there's going to be an official route to swap tickets with ticket master nearer the time.

RHM77 · 21/01/2024 16:33

sorry we can't do 8th

RHM77 · 21/01/2024 16:34

don't panic! There is a ticket master organised swap system coming soon. Everyone will be able to safely swap all tickets.
