Registry office wedding - have mixed views on this dress…

I really like it, and I know that’s what counts. Had a few people say to me that it’s nice but more as a dress for hen do or reception rather than my actual wedding dress. I think it’s appropriate since we are going to a registry office and for a few nice photos. Do you think it’s underwhelming? Thought it would be best to get multiple opinions!

It’s lovely OP, and looks perfectly appropriate. I think you will feel incredible in it. Don’t show anyone else and just enjoy feeling great in your lovely dress.

It's nice but if it was me I'd wear something fancier. You don't get many opportunities to dress up!
If you want to wear something different but have chosen something more understated because it's a registry office then remember it's your day and you can wear whatever you want!

It's absolutely lovely and very appropriate. I wore a similar style of dress for my wedding (though not actually as nice as this!) and felt fantastic all day. If you love it ignore anyone else.

Very elegant, will you have some flowers and maybe imagine it with those too. If it were me I would probably have something in my hair or a necklace as well to add a bit.

It looks underwhelming in the website photo - but that’s because of straggly hair and ‘nothing’ sandals. I’d imagine with more intentional styling / grooming it could be perfectly fine. Though there’s not much ‘wow’ about it.

A few people have used the word 'underwhelming' and I think that's spot on.

Being a bride is a free pass to be extravagant or indulgent and wear something you'd never normally wear. As nice as that dress is I'd look back and wish I'd got something a bit more exciting.

I think it's a nice dress but yes I would agree it's underwhelming. I had a registry office wedding then meal at a hotel for just 30 people and wore a proper wedding dress. I'm really glad I did! Hopefully you only get to wear a wedding dress once and I would get something a bit fancier if it was me.
