Could we PLEASE have a thread that stays up?

Meaning don't name anyone, or any programme or ask for initials or hint.

I just would like to discuss how this is likely to unfold.

I feel sorry for his kids, his mother, his wife, the victim, if the alleged crime has been committed. What an awful mess for someone to sabotage their entire life for some sort of short-lived thrills. I would not want any harm to come to him, in spite of what he has done, and he must be in a very fragile place today with this story about to break. Such a terrible mess humans can create.

I’ve also seen the photo with a visible face. Lot of debating on Twitter wether it’s real or not from those who specialise in image analysis/ or AI but I would say most o have read are claiming real.

  1. I admire some named celebs who have chosen not to comment - shows they are teflon with no fucks to give and means their photos don't end up on bylines but I also hope those that have put out denials get compensated.
  2. If the minor was 17, knowing the law, I wouldn't have gone to the police either - they have themselves broken the law by making the images. This is why all kids are taught now: no selfies, no nudes, don't ask, don't send - even with mutual consent.
  3. Not knowing someone's age doesn't equal a defence (think of men who have been accused of unlawful sex when they claim they thought the minor looked/said they were older) but if via a site you have to be 18 to use, it makes for an interesting legal case.
  4. Timing of this is strange/convenient as a deflection. Wonder how long they've had the story.

I'm not sure what to think about the photo, to be honest AI is so good now that it would be virtually impossible for a non-expert to tell (remember the picture of Selena Gomez (not) at the Met Gala!)

If its the person in the photo it seems odd that his episode of "Who do you think you are" is still available on Iplayer. If its not him I really worry for his mental health considering he has a history of crippling depression.

There are some proper scum bags about. I wonder if it's the rise of extreme porn that is causing men to think this kind of behaviour is ok. I mean why would you do this if you are a well known figure is it the thrill of being found out or what?
At this rate it will be easy to work out who it is what with the flood of people coming forward to say its not them.
I'm glad it's not Rylan. I always liked him.

It matters greatly who it is, but what matters more is if anyone else knew and kept quiet. I believe that for evil to succeed it only takes good people to turn a blind eye.

If you heard that someone you worked with was using Only Fans and paying for content, what would you do?

Well if he’s back on tonight we know everyone was wrong, if he’s not, then yeah it’s going to be him. I don’t think the pic is real, someone has just switched the lower half. Easily done.

I think now it would be better for whomever is accused to say it’s them. To firstly take the pressure off everyone else, and to own it, they can easily say some accusations have been made, it’s not what it’s perceived to be, I’m stepping down, want some privacy. They should have owned it from the start and stepped down voluntarily for the investigation, as this is a right shit show.

I agree. Regardless of this case, it's ridiculous that you can consent to sex at 16, but can't share explicit photos at 17. The law needs revising in some direction and upwards would probably be best.

To me, this story reeks of blackmail or something. If it's not blackmail then more than photos must've been paid for. The Internet is full of all sorts of grim and niche porn, free of charge. I cannot imagine what you'd need to spend £35k on.

Something's off somewhere.

As ever, it looks like this has been irresponsibly reported/handled. If The Sun had any morals or foresight, they would've pressed the BBC to act before running sensationalist headlines.

I think we can safely say though that whomever it is (assuming their guilt for a second) has very low moral values so would imagine they'd do anything to save their own skin. They didn't think of their victim so why would they think of their colleagues.

Only fans is just speculation at this point. That's not been reported as fact anywhere.

The images aren't even the only problem, though illegal, it's the abuse of power that's morally wrong too.^

I think the reason the person is staying quiet is because as far as he was concerned this was a normal only fans contract. I doubt they knew the model for want of a better word.,was only 17.
If this kind of thing was illegal Only Fans would not exist. Only Fans has roughly 12 million users in the UK alone. Users and models are both male and female. Do you seriously think he is the only married high profile person on there? If you do then you are very naive.

I have seen the photo, god help me. It is fake. It doesn't even match the description the mother gave- she said it was of the presenter in his underwear. The Twitter photo has the underwear around the ankles.
