First world problems that make you irrationally annoyed!

Just want to vent (lighthearted but kind of not). Went into the Bodyshop today to buy some new shampoo and conditioner and shower gels. First had to fight my way through about 3 people wanting me to try products, which I hate being pounced on. Then I got the shampoo and conditioner I wanted (this is a treat for me as more than I normally spend), and I had a hard sell at the checkout for various things, including upgrading to a refill bottle for shampoo and conditioner, I went for it as like to help the environment…but was in a hurry, get home to find THEY’VE BLOODY PUT SHAMPOO IN BOTH BOTTLES! I’m irrationally annoyed about this particularly given the way they pushed it on me, and the fact I went out of my way to go to the shop. What first world things have annoyed you today? 😂and would this annoy you?!

I get annoyed when the products on supermarket shelves don't quite match the labels on the front of the shelf.
Once, after 3 weeks of seeing the snickers and Mars labels in the wrong place I swapped the labels myself. I felt much better after that.

Northernsouloldies · 07/07/2023 23:18

People that weave side to side in supermarkets aisles or the big group chat right in the middle and the dirty look, when you say excuse me.

Channellingsophistication · 07/07/2023 23:31

I was really irrationally cross at wimbledon commentators today reminiscing about Andy Murray winning 10 years ago today and they wondered what time it was when he won - really ? who the chuff cares what time it was! It really annoyed me!

Whenever I find a skin product that really works and I go to reorder it there will immediately be supply chain issues! End up trawling every corner of the internet, going into random chemists all over the country. Every fucking time!

MeinKraft · 07/07/2023 23:39

Every time I reverse out of a parking space someone walks behind my car. Sometimes multiple people. My life feels like a real life hazard perception test sometimes.

Chewbaccaslime · 07/07/2023 23:40

I have curly, bleached and very damaged hair. No conditioner is NOT a first world problem for me!

JamSandle · 07/07/2023 23:42

The poor etiquette with phones.

Loud yappy dogs.

Shrieking children.

Passmethecrisps · 07/07/2023 23:44

That sounds enormously annoying - first world or otherwise!

i got very irritated recently when I a supermarket. My children and I were following the main aisle and one man kept cutting across the aisle (over multiple
aisles) to put items from one side into his trolley. He seemed to do it with spectacular timing with when my children were walking and on every occasion they had to avoid him, pause, move out the way. Yet HE WAS THE ONE WHO HUFFED EVERY TIME

Pascha · 07/07/2023 23:45

Those bloody annoying lids on drinks bottles that don't come all the way off now, and then when you screw it back up it doesn't seal properly and I get bastarding coke all over my bag.

Fizbosshoes · 07/07/2023 23:45

When phone "help"lines have multiple recorded messages about how much quicker and easier it is to sort your shit out online. I'm able to use websites and apps but often they either don't work, don't offer the service I want or I need an actual person to answer a query. I'm not wasting my morning listening to shitty lift music for fun!!

PuttingDownRoots · 07/07/2023 23:48

We have parking wardens for residents parking.
They can only give tickets for people parking in the marked bays without a permit... not the people parking elsewhere not in parking bays, like our grass.

What is the point in that?

The way people treat children in supermarkets really annoys me. Yes they are noisy, yes they take up room and dither about and can be a pain in the arse. But they are human beings, they have as much right to be there as anyone else and tutting at them or just practically trampling them is fucking nasty.

QueenBitch666 · 08/07/2023 00:00

Children. They annoy me beyond belief

Passmethecrisps · 08/07/2023 00:03

Exactly @MeinKraft! and I know every parent thinks this but genuinely
mine are not noisy or tricky in the supermarket. They walk in a straight line and manage themselves well - usually!!

in this particular supermarket (Waitrose) it can be especially bad. On one occasion so many adults were treating one of my children like she was invisible (walking directly into her path, leaning over her etc) that she got distressed and started to cry. I have told them both that they are not less entitled to manners or civility because of their age. I suspect some shoppers see children and their hackles immediately rise. I have seen some utterly obnoxious behaviour from
children in the same place so I don’t blame folk for getting irritated. But not at all the children all of the time, surely!

Passmethecrisps · 08/07/2023 00:03

Especially in Waitrose @QueenBitch666 🤣

miniegg3 · 08/07/2023 00:05

When you're entering a supermarket at the same time as someone else, they rush to get in before you (no problem) then just stop.. in the middle of the bloody doorway to browse at some crappy promotion and you cant get past 😠 seems to happen nearly every time

TarquinOliverNimrod · 08/07/2023 00:08

When I walk into an empty shop apart from one other customer and they are looking at the stuff I want to look at and taking bloody ages to choose 😤 😡 😵‍💫🤯

ChaChaRealSmooth · 08/07/2023 00:11
Angry The Office GIF

when people put their hands on you to lean round you in the supermarket to pick something up.

upinaballoon · 08/07/2023 08:05

EON's letters greeting me with the words ' Hi', followed by my Christian name, as if I'm their best buddy.

Same at the doctor's check-yourself-in system - 'Hi'. Yes, I would prefer 'Hello'.

People who drive fast around supermarket car parks, assuming that no other car has the right to move or back in/back out/straighten up.

Monkeybutt1 · 08/07/2023 08:17

People who drive behind your car when you are reversing out of your space, just let me out!!

AmITooOldToDoThis · 08/07/2023 08:22

People that drive forwards into spaces. Much easier and safer to reverse in, drive out. (even when you need to put things in the boot.)

yellowsmileyface · 08/07/2023 08:35

People who don't know where they're going on the underground. Those who stop at the bottom of the stairs to look at the tube map, or stop right in the entrance way of the platform to wait for the tube.

Oh and on the topic of tube travel woes, those people who obstruct the lift doors and delay the rest of us because they don't wanna wait 1 minute for the next lift!!

SavBlancTonight · 08/07/2023 08:37

Shitty WiFi on trains. Soooo irritating.

PomTiddlyPomPom · 08/07/2023 09:32

When I have my shopping delivered to avoid the stress of the supermarket but then I still have to put it all away😤

Daftasabroom · 08/07/2023 09:37

Supermarket food shopping as a family activity.
