Topless on holiday with tween DC?

On holiday in France with DH, DD11 and DS10. About third of women on beach are topless.
DH very keen that I join them (I did happily last time we went on holiday). But I feel that it will embarrass the DC.
Am I being prudish given there’s plenty doing it and I absolutely would if DC weren’t there, or am I being respectful of their feelings?

@Gytgyt - Anyone who has lied on a beach in a wet, sometimes padded bikini top with a clasp sticking in your back, and has also on a different occasion gone topless will understand the comfort issue.

It is not disrespectful for a 10 year old to see his mother's or anyone else's breasts. Our boobs are not something obscene. Unlike men's chests our have mounds and we both have nipples on the end.

If so many others are topless, I don’t see why not. But then I only have dds - I’m sure they wouldn’t have been bothered. I can see that boys might find it embarrassing.

Do what makes you comfortable but I say it’s healthy for people to see different bodies in different shapes and sizes. As soon as we start seeing that normal comes in all forms rather than we all have to be skinny with massive boobs body confidence will increase.

I think the DH is just saying "You did it pre DC, so why not now?" I don't see it as him being pervy at all.
Tween DC are programmed to be embarrassed by their parents, so if it is your thing, just do it.

There are plenty of cheap bikinis around without clasps. You soon dry off in the Sun and you go back in the water so the need to be dry is a non issue for me. The sun beating down on my nipples is something I wouldn't fancy personally and I don't see the comparison a woman's droopy boobs out and a man's chest. It's often looks vulgar even more so on a larger bust. Each to their own though.

Why on earth is your dh keen? Don’t get me wrong,I’ve gone topless on beaches before but have never asked dh his opinion and he knows better than to offer one. And no, I wouldn’t be getting topless infront of dc of that age. Would you walk round topless infront of them at home?
