Not winning the lottery is making me sad.

That’s it really.

I would be content let happy to win a couple million. Obviously the massive 124 millions jackpots are great, but a couple million I’d be happy with that.

How much would you like to win to really make a difference in your life, not just a good splash about for a nicer house and new car, but really change your life?

I feel sad I haven't even won £20k. That would be enough for me.

starrylights · 03/07/2023 21:17

I am just the same, weirdly disappointed, sometimes even bordering on annoyance Grin

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 03/07/2023 21:18

I think I’d like £20 million 😂. I do feel quite annoyed with DH that he keeps on playing and never wins 😂.

WedTheBed · 03/07/2023 21:19

@Sunflowersinthewind 20k is would be lovely and would pay off our wedding and give us a good Christmas for the kids for sure!

@starrylights I agree, I rarely actually play the lottery but for some reason I feel my heart sinking in my chest thinking about not winning a life changing amount of money 😂

Me too Grin
If I've bought a couple of lines and don't wake up to a notification I'm absolutely fuming for the day Blush I've had the "you have won a prize" email from my app and the tension when you're scrambling to open the results to fine you've won.. £2.50 is very very anticlimactic.

Ibloodymissgluten · 03/07/2023 21:21

I’m fucking fuming that I’ve never won the jackpot.

PurpleishDahlia · 03/07/2023 21:23

Me too, didn't win again last week. I'm starting to think this is a waste of money.

I heard that when you’ve won a big amount it doesn’t even give you that message, it says something like “contact us”

WedTheBed · 03/07/2023 21:23

@Orangelover I hate that 😂 I did win £20 last week.. which I spent on food to eat my feelings for not winning an extra few 0’s on the end of it!

I would just absolutely love to put a decent chunk of money away for the kids, pay off our mortgage so we can rent out this house, buy a house in a nicer area.. detached with a garage for DH and his car (hobby), then pay for my mum to do whatever she likes with her house as she’s always DIY’ing and absolutely loves renovating.

It's premium bond prize fine outey night tonight!!! I'd be happy with 20k!

Hell! I'd be happy with £20😂

tintable · 03/07/2023 21:27

I never put the lottery on anymore. On the very rare occasion I've done it in the past, I'd fully expected to win. I just can't handle the disappointment 🫠

Tetchypants · 03/07/2023 21:36

I have a recurrent dream about winning £81m, and honestly it can be a logistical nightmare. I’m coming to terms with being minted though, should probably buy tickets.

TitsInAbsentia · 03/07/2023 21:36

I still play in hope...although sometimes I forget, so I never play the same numbers, only lucky dips, cause imagine your numbers came up on a week you'd forgot.... I mostly play the £10,000 a month for life one now because that would set me up beautifully for an early retirement plus would stop me blowing it all overnight!

TooOldForThisNonsense · 03/07/2023 21:38

A million would do me. Enough to be comfortable, to go part time at work, have no debt and a few bob in the bank.

bellamountain · 03/07/2023 21:38

Me too, I just want to be able to upgrade our house and buy a new one outright. I never win anything. Even the instant win games are no good.

Peony654 · 03/07/2023 21:43

I don’t know how you can be sad about something so statistically unlikely. Everyone who wins big seems to end up ruined.

ssd · 03/07/2023 21:45

I'm sad too.
I'm even sadder I'm too tight to play.

nobodygoesdowninthejungle · 03/07/2023 21:45

I stopped doing the lottery when I realised my Sunday morning grumpiness was largely due to not winning it!

bibbityboppityboo · 03/07/2023 21:46

I'm always so disappointed too! I buy my ticket, mentally spend my winnings and resign from my job - then the universe has the temerity to not allow me to win. Heartbreaking waking up the morning after to no winning email or a useless paper ticket.

If anything it's rude, I have plans for it - surely it knows it's destined for me! I'd like £50M+ to secure all of my horrendous spending plans.

ASGIRC · 03/07/2023 21:46

I was destined to win the euromillions and I dont understand how or why it hasnt happened yet.

I too would be fine with a cool million, but that would not really allow me to never work again.

if i won anything above 20 mil Id pay off my mortgage, buy a better house, and quit working altogether. along with settling my familys mortgages aswell!

MrsTerryPratchett · 03/07/2023 21:46

People who win large amounts typically end up less happy. So I don't play. Either way (disappointment or winning) is likely to make me less happy.

Mischance · 03/07/2023 21:47

Such big prizes are pointless - what the hell would you spend it on? Lots of prizes of say £1million would make a lot of people very happy indeed.

reddingweddy · 03/07/2023 21:50

With you op. I haven't won my millions yet and I'm fucking raging.

Alighttouchonthetiller · 03/07/2023 21:52

Euromillions is worth £2.50 a go for the amount of pleasure I get looking at houses on Rightmove and planning how to tell my family I am a gazillionaire so we can all resign and spend our days lying around, covered in diamonds, sipping champagne.

I don't play unless the jackpot is over 20 million. I want to win enough to never, ever have to even think about whether I can afford to put the heating on or buy fillet steak for my tea.

SlippedCondom · 03/07/2023 21:52

Same! I only want the Thunderball please :) not asking for much 👀
