Do you know someone who shares a birthday with their sibling? (Not twins!)

Just wondering.
A friend of mine was born on her brother's birthday.
Another friend has her DC X number of years and one week apart (not quite the same!)

I wonder how common the exact same birthday is

My dad and his brother share a birthday, my dad is exactly 10 years older than his brother. They've always had joint parties for big birthdays which is really nice.

My brother and I often joke that we are twins born two years apart. Oddly enough, not only do we share our birthday, but the mother of his children is also on the same day, and is exactly one year older than him and younger than me. They got together as teens and she lived with us, so my poor mum had an eight year period where she was having to throw at least one of us a sweet 16th, 18th or 21st birthday party and some years, two of these at the same time!

My stepmum and oldest stepbrother have the same birthday which I always thought was lovely until I realised the poor woman spent her birthday in labour/giving birth! Still it’s nice they get to celebrate together every year now.

I know someone who has two children and they were BOTH born on her birthday! Can you imagine? I'd be fuming Grin

teenysaladandsniffofarose · 05/10/2023 14:38

Also I should add I'm currently pregnant and due date for baby is the day after his brothers birthday! Hoping I go overdue!

AmyDudley · 05/10/2023 15:15

My kids are a week apart, (both within 2 weeks of Christmas so expensive time of year !)

My cousin and I are exactly the same age - although I am five hours older, which I repeatedly reminded him of when we were young and keep quiet about now we are old Grin)

My younger niece and nephew share a birthday; their sister's birthday is within a few weeks.

Their parents are mathematicians by trade ... clearly, they have a very specific formula for everything.

just one that I know of. My best friend from school was born on her brothers 3rd birthday

I feel your pain, my kids birthdays are one week before Xmas and two weeks after 🤦‍♀️ plus me and my husband have our birthdays 10 days apart (but thankfully in the summer!)

Someone I know I know has 2 girls, they share a birthday and their birthday is also her and her husbands wedding anniversary!

boysmuminherts · 05/10/2023 16:29

I know someone who shares a birthday with her twin sisters. So 3 of them born on the same day !!

SouthCountryGirl · 05/10/2023 16:30

My parents wedding anniversary is the same date as one of mum's half brothers who has the same name as my dad. Different year though.

BrieAndChilli · 05/10/2023 16:38

My sister was born on my 3rd birthday
DH was born on his mums birthday
my cousin was born on my uncles birthday
DS1s friend has the the birthday as his sister and DS2s friend also has the same birthday as his sister (different friends!)

Thats just off the top of my head

nobleisle · 05/10/2023 16:44

I know 3 siblings who share a birthday- 2 are twins another one is younger. All right in the middle of Xmas and NY too bless them!

Thethruththewholetruth · 05/10/2023 17:04

Me and my sister do, 6 years apart. I hated her the day she was born or ruining my birthday 😂

MissingMoominMamma · 05/10/2023 18:13

Yes, DH and his sister.

coxesorangepippin · 05/10/2023 18:14

I actually know three kids who all have the same birthday (2 of which are twins)

massistar · 05/10/2023 18:16

Yes. My sisters were born on the same day and one of them had her DS on the same day too!

verdantverdure · 05/10/2023 18:19

How many of these birthdays are about nine months after their dad's birthday's?

Just sayin' Grin

useitorlose · 05/10/2023 18:19

Not the same date, but I had DD1 at 9.20pm on a Sunday and DD2 at 9.24pm on a Sunday 2 and a bit years later!

DD1 was born on the same day as the midwife's daughter's 11th birthday - luckily she was just on the day shift so she got to go home and spend time with her daughter before mine put in an appearance. It was also the day Princess Diana died.

loverofpants · 05/10/2023 18:22

Not siblings, but my brother, mum and maternal grandma all have the same birthday!

verdantverdure · 06/10/2023 04:48

I want to know what was happening 9 months or so before these shared or similar birthdays that caused these babies to be conceived at roughly the same time?

Wedding anniversary?

Holiday?

A Parent's Birthday?

XelaM · 06/10/2023 05:39

My ex-husband, his mum and my own brother all shared a birthday. You would think it was meant to be... but it wasn't 😬

lilacnightmares · 07/10/2023 18:41

Yes, my second child was born prematurely on his sisters 1st birthday. Unfortunately he passed away few hours later.

It's very bitter sweet how they share the day. I try not let it cloud my daughters birthdays though

luckylavender · 07/10/2023 19:18

Yes I do. 2 boys & 2 girls.

SurfSmurf · 07/10/2023 19:20

Yes, my cousins who are siblings.
