Do you know someone who shares a birthday with their sibling? (Not twins!)

Just wondering.
A friend of mine was born on her brother's birthday.
Another friend has her DC X number of years and one week apart (not quite the same!)

I wonder how common the exact same birthday is

I know a family of 5 (the parents and 3 DC) all have a birthday within a 5 day window but none share a birthday. So each birthday one day after the next.

My DC2 and DC3 have birthdays 3 days apart (separated by 3 years!)

Yes, one of my best friends has the same birthday as her brother, he's 4 years older. I've known them all my life - I don't remember the details that far back but with the age gap there must have been some juggling going on with their birthday parties 😄

Yes I do - friends dc are 2 years apart, same birthday

Same here. We have DC within the family who are exactly 2 years apart.

I also know twins born on different days!

Now that is unusual. There were DTs in the news a few years ago because one was born before midnight and I've just after. The only problem was the dates were 31st August and 1st September and the LA were trying to make them start school a year apart.

My DH and I share a birthday. My DDs' bithdays are three days apart. The four of us were born on the same month.

BloodandGlitter · 24/06/2023 16:22

DD and DS were born 10 years apart. DGS was born 10 years to the day after DS

SparklingGrapeWater · 24/06/2023 16:23

I was born on my brothers 4th birthday.

Lovelynames123 · 24/06/2023 16:25

My mum and uncle were born on the same day 2 years apart, then coincidentally their sister married a man with the same birthday, then one of their gcs has the same birthday!

Friends have daughters 4 years and 1 day apart, 9 months after their father's bday, they had fertility problems for years then the girls came along so we joked it's his magic birthday sperm!

Feelingsickrightnow · 24/06/2023 16:31

My DHs sister has same bday as her dad.

Iamanunsafebuilding · 24/06/2023 16:34

My kids are 3 years and 11 days apart with my birthday in between them. We had 18th, 21st and 50th birthdays in 11 days, shame it was 2020 so we could only celebrate with ourselves in the garden 😂!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 24/06/2023 16:59

DM and her brother are 2 days apart

CountingMareep · 24/06/2023 17:47

I have a friend whose brother was born the day before his seventh birthday.

CountingMareep · 24/06/2023 17:49

Also one of my DBs has his birthday a week before mine. Birthdays in my family mostly seem to cluster in the winter months for some reason.

Maztek · 24/06/2023 17:49

My entire family are November birthdays. Literally every day of November is someone’s birthday.

Not siblings, but me and my sister had our babies born on the same day which I think is really cool. Mine was 3 weeks premature and her’s was 2 weeks late. We call them cousins & birthday twins 🥰

My brother and cousin are 17h apart, though it fell on different days! My brother was early, my cousin was a bit late!

I share a birthday with my youngest stepsister (9 years older than me). 10/10 do not recommend! 😂

Nowanextraone · 24/06/2023 17:56

No, but my husband and I share a birthday!!

Coronationstation · 24/06/2023 18:59

I have a friend who’s 2yrs apart from her sister and another friend who shares their birthday with 2 other siblings (none of them multiples or planned c sections!)

I once read a news story about this happening but at New Year so not only were they born on different days, but different years too.

NImumconfused · 24/06/2023 21:48

My older sisters share a birthday one year apart - the eldest was very much not impressed with her birthday present!!

These might have been the same twins a PP (can't find who!) mentioned.
What a ridiculous LA!!
