What is your favourite sandwich?

Inspired by another thread talking about a lasagne sandwich, what is your favourite buttie.

Mine is probably chicken salad on brown seeded bread ..

Steak and chutney ciabatta
Roast chicken and stuffed baguette
Smokey bacon crisps and tomato ketchup

This will sound gross to many but a choice of two for me:

Spam and mature cheddar cheese or Corned Beef and mature cheddar cheese.

Has to be a nice uncut loaf too.

I love them both.

Quorum chicken pieces, mayo and sweetcorn on white bread.

Marmite of course !

Hard boiled egg and marmite.

Oh yes

Chicken, cheese and avocado, or simple egg and lettuce (no mayo thanks, mayo here always tastes sweet 🤢). If it’s toasted, ham cheese and tomato will do nicely.

This is a weird one - but oh goodness, it's good. Stilton, ham and cucumber on granary. My own invention 🤣

I love the chicken salad sandwich from M&S or seafood cocktail from Sainsbury’s. If I was to make one at home maybe houmous.

@Cincinnatus I must know what is in this seafood cocktail sammy from Sainsbury's ???? details please so I can try to recreate it!!

Easy - egg mayo, ideally on granary bread but not too fussy

Intermediate - fish fingers, tartare sauce and little gem lettuce

God tier - 'pulled' jackfruit banh mi, with pickled veggies, fresh coriander and Kewpie mayo

Left of centre - Seville orange marmalade and proper mousetrap Cheddar, or salt and vinegar crisps and freshly sliced tomato on a buttered roll (I've never tried all four at once, but it might be interesting).

@catscalledbeanz I see your boxing day buttie, and admire it, but offer the boxing day toastie, just the same, all.leftovers including pigs in blankets, veg, roasties , meat, stuffing etc, but all warm and buttery with added sliced cheese....

And for anyone who has been to Philadelphia - hoagie.

Mozzarella, Mortadella, Pesto, crushed pistachios, salt and pepper on toasted ciabatta with a drizzle of olive oil when I'm feeling posh and have endless time.

Good old fashioned cheese and branston on soft white bread otherwise.

Cheese and pickle in crusty bread / baguette. Sometimes with cucumber too.

Marmalade and tomato sprinkled with a bit of curry powder makes a good sandwich. Also marmalade and cream cheese.

Emmental and ham in a baguette
cheese and onion deli filler on brown

Cheese and tomato on white bread. Maybe a squidge of salad cream if I'm living life on the edge.
