What is your favourite sandwich?

Inspired by another thread talking about a lasagne sandwich, what is your favourite buttie.

Mine is probably chicken salad on brown seeded bread ..

Crunchy peanut butter, dairylea cream cheese and cucumber

Cheese, pickle and salad in granary bread.

Pate and strawberry jam

Chicken with crunchy lettuce and mayo

Chicken.

I eat everything, and like most sandwiches but used to love one boots sold. Grated carrot, rocket and hummus. I've tried making it at home and its just not the same and they don't tell is anymore!

Cheese and blackcurrant jam

Egg with mayo on white.

Coronation chicken or fish fingers/rocket/tartare sauce 👌🏻

Chicken and bacon

Egg mayo with watercress on whole meal bread.

I like tuna and cheese but lately like prawn and mayonnaise, for both I love them in a soft sub😋🥖

Cheese and tomato

A slightly soggy cheese and tomato with salad cream on cheap white bread!

Depends whether I'm buying it or making it!

Making it - white bread, real butter, proper good sliced ham and crisps in the middle and squish it down!

I love a chicken and coleslaw sandwich, has to be in fresh bloomer though…
also love a BLT 😊

The king, the daddy, the best of the sandwiches is without question the annual "Boxing Day sandwich" ; a thing of beauty, gravy, cranberry, turkey, sliced pig in blanket, a smashed roast potato and if you must- some form of veg if you must. It's a once a year treat that I look forward to more than my birthday, more than Christmas, a certainly more than any other meal of the year.

However that particular beast is rarity and can hardly be held in the same esteem as the other sandwiches, and so I'll choose a the Vietnamese banh mi as my favourite. Rich pate, pickled veg, coriander, spicy pork (or chicken, or meatballs) chillis , and sometimes a smear of cream cheese, all in a crunchy baguette. It delivers on every level in my opinion

Although reading the replies- a fish finger sandwich is a beaut. And a good Reuben is delightful. A bacon sarnie can cure the worst of hangovers. Egg mayo is the very taste of summer to me. Cucumber sandwich the epitome of fancy sandwich. The crisp sandwich has a dear place in my heart. Op this thread is my life. I love sandwiches. Thank you.
