What do people do regarding these robots on the roads/paths?

Little white robots do deliveries here..

See them zooming around everywhere but this afternoon one stopped at a zebra crossing, I was driving so stopped to let it cross but it just sat there....I waited, car in opposite direction just drove across.

As it hadn't moved to cross I just drove on. What's correct action?

You have to be nice to them so when the AI apocalypse comes they'll spare you

I'm very robot friendly

They sometimes get stuck down a kerb, if you hoick them back up they are very polite and say Thankyou very much

I just think they don't understand our roads!

OMG! I don’t even understand what you are talking about right now? (Lives in UK countryside) Could you post a picture of these little robots please and tell me what they do?

@JustGeorgie google “robot delivery getting run over by train” (or words to that affect).It’s on YouTube - footage filmed in America and you can’t help but laugh when the tiny little robot is squashed by a massive American train on a level crossing.
They might be getting these where my parents live for delivery from the Co op and despite the Co op being a 2 minute walk from their house I am definitely going to be ordering something to be delivered 😂

Generally they stop once they "see" you so you can just walk round them. Treat them like you would an object in the pavement.
I did once encounter one that kept moving so I couldn't get past. That was spooky.
They don't cross roads until they are clear; you don't give way to them.

This is why it takes so long for them to bring you anything, they have to wait for the all clear before they can cross a road! Which at busy times of day can take ages.

I love our little robots, they’re so polite, but I do feel uneasy when I see them in a swarm!

Yep they don't understand zebra crossings and will only go when it's clear so don't stop to let them cross.

I need these where I live! I think I would end up as some crazy robot stalker lady.

Around here they would all be mugged and chucked in the canal 😭

Where do you robot havers live?

We have them here and you're not supposed to stop for them at zebra crossings, which feels so wrong.

There's a few places that have them, so we don't all necessarily live close to each other.

They're in 3 different places around the outskirts of Leeds, and somewhere around Milton Keynes that I'm aware of @TeenDivided

We have them all over here! They were a novelty for a while but now they just poddle along happily being ignored

My friend ordered a delivery from one at Christmas just to video it for us and it played Last Christmas when the top opened 😄

We have them in our town, was gobsmacked the first time I saw one trundling along!
They deliver for our local Co-op... You can get them to 'sing you a song' when they deliver! I videoed them and showed my colleagues, and it got to be a bit of an obsession. The technology and back story is really interesting, if you're nerdy like me.

I have seen them huddled in groups on the street. Probably exchanging information about how best to manage the human slaves when the time comes.

And by that I mean-welcome my robot overlords.

I live about a mile from the nearest Amazin depot . I really want them to switch to robot delivery. Do you think they train them to hide the parcel in your bin?

Yeah, the way they hang around outside the Co-op has an air of a load of teenagers deciding which over 25 YO they're going to intimidate into going in to buy booze for them.
