DP doesn't get poo cramps

What's wrong with him? What's wrong with his body?

I'm not the weird one, right? Most people if they eat something their body doesn't entirely agree with get a crampy-feeling until it's all out right? Mine is after anything with too much dairy or fish and chips/other greasy takeaways.

He thinks he's the normal one and I'm the odd one. But I've never heard of anyone just not having poo cramps?! Are there people who just... need to have a poo? And that's it? Every time?

As I make yet another trip to the toilet I am awash with envy. Also I should probably just stop eating chocolate. Hmm

Sorry OP, I do think you should see your GP about this. It doesn't sound right to me.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 02/06/2023 12:58

DP is normal. You probably have some digestive issue going on if you cramp so much.

usernotfound0000 · 02/06/2023 13:05

I definitely get this but don't necessarily think it's ok! I tend to get them after something particularly greasy or fatty like fish and chips. Or if I've been eating particularly healthy for a while and then have a meal out. I suspect I have some sort of IBS but never been to get it checked out.

Redkettle · 02/06/2023 13:11

I thought this was normal too. Had it since childhood

theemmadilemma · 02/06/2023 13:13

I definitely do not have IBS.

But I DO get little cramps. If I had something spicy the night before for example, I'll get a few cramps warning me it's on it's way after my morning coffee.

Like you, I just view it as a grumble about something it's quite liked.

changedforanswer · 02/06/2023 13:13

wtf IS A POO CRAMP

YABVVVVVVVU go see a doctor and get off MN

DeliciouslyDecadent · 02/06/2023 13:14

If you have pain after eating some foods, you have probably got IBS.

BellatrixLestrangesHeatedCurlers · 02/06/2023 13:14

I just do (painless) farts if I eat something that doesn't agree with me. No poo cramps here.

Rosscameasdoody · 02/06/2023 13:14

I think you need to get checked out by your GP - could be IBS, Crohns or a simple food intolerance, but you need to get to the bottom of it - sorry, no pun intended !!

Coronationstation · 02/06/2023 13:16

You definitely have IBS and should rethink what you eat!

ItsFunToBeAVampire · 02/06/2023 12:05

It sounds like you have IBS and he doesn't.

This.

IBS or some kind of food intolerance.

NeedToChangeName · 02/06/2023 13:17

No poo cramps here

CentrifugalBumblePuppy · 02/06/2023 13:18

I get cramps, but then I’ve had a diagnosis of IBS since my teens! The only upside of having to use opiate based pain relief for a wonky spine is the fast-passage of doings is slowed somewhat.

DH gets wrist pain when he needs a wee.
And I though my body was peculiar.

MasterBeth · 02/06/2023 13:18

What's a poo cramp?

handmademitlove · 02/06/2023 13:21

The vitamin / mineral deficiency suggests you should look into coeliac disease. It is also genetic. First step is a blood test which your GP can organise.

I've never asked anyone! But I get them. Particularly after exercise or a strong coffee 🙈

Rosscameasdoody · 02/06/2023 13:26

OP, where is the cramping pain ? If the pain comes on and is in the upper right of your abdomen it could be gall stones. They’re aggravated by eating fatty foods, including chocolate.

nopuppiesallowed · 02/06/2023 13:27

Ask for a coeliac blood test. If you are an undiagnosed coeliac and not following a strict gluten free diet, you're in danger of developing osteoporosis, cancer and lots of other nasties

theemmadilemma · 02/06/2023 13:28

So many people piling on saying it's IBS. Unless OP has other symptoms it's not!

It's like a mild intolerence that causes no effects bar some mild-ish cramping. Part an parcel of life and no need to go running to the GP if it's causing no distress ffs.

Ferferksake · 02/06/2023 13:28

Well I thought poo cramps were normal too, but I've always found that going and having a big 💩gets rid of them straight away.

xogossipgirlxo · 02/06/2023 13:29

My husband gets cramps and he has IBS. I don't and my bowel is fine.

romany4 · 02/06/2023 13:31

I have IBS.
The cramps are horrible for me

loislovesstewie · 02/06/2023 13:34

Only when I have a flare up of IBS. I can't tolerate bran.

kitsuneghost · 02/06/2023 13:36

Only if I'm constipated
