Mumsnet in the event of a public emergency (LIGHTHEARTED!)

This is not aimed at undermining any real issues people face. It’s just a bit of fun!

Just read a thread on whether we’d get a warning if there was a nuclear bomb and a few people had commented that Mumsnet would go crazy. It definitely would.

So, in the event of nuclear war, a zombie apocalypse or other emergency that will (probably) never happen, what would we see on here?

“DSS attitude causing an atmosphere, AIBU to ask him to leave the shelter?”

”Government emergency broadcast message is misogynistic.”

”DH out scavenging with another woman, should I be worried?”

”Next door neighbour partially blocked my driveway with husband’s body. Should I confront them? PHOTO INCLUDED

What else would we see?

@newnamethanks that's quite unusual.

Anyone else with ND DCs thriving during nuclear lockdown? DS2 dx ASD/ADHD is thriving. Being away from school has been a god send and his zombie sniper uber-skills from 100s of hours of COD and RDR2 have been invaluable and have really increased his sense of self worth. Dreading things going back to normal if I'm honest.

Fantastic @RelativePitch 😄😄

@newnewnamethanks

Wow! I would've thought the imagery of a vast mushroom shaped cloud in the sky would give most people an instinctive feeling of impending doom? 🙁

newnamethanks · 19/03/2023 22:08

Well, fFking, you'd think so wouldn't you? But no. I think I'm the only patient old enough to realise what it is and that younger people, if they notice it at all, vaguely assume it's just an odd and unusual cloud formation.

I know no one here ever talks about their cats as everyone seems to have dogs only. Or neighbours who have dogs only. But AIBU to think that there are suddenly too many cats around?

I haven't seen a dog for days and there are 39 cats in the garden chewing on my DDs. I know that DDs are now zombies but it does still seem a bit odd.

Anyone got any tips for hair loss? Mine is coming out in handfuls at the moment

Could you book a spa day?
