Do You Have A Roast Every Sunday?

I did growing up ( or most weeks at least) but certainly don’t now. It’s probably about once every couple of months. Occasionally have a mini roast midweek. DH really isn’t that bothered & thinks it’s a lot of effort but it doesn’t need to be if you get organised. We’re having a frozen turkey joint today with roast spuds /carrots, stuffing, fine beans, broccoli & homemade bread sauce. I’m about to peel the spuds & carrots to get it out of the way.

Like many others, a roast, for us, is a winter thing.
I used to really stress out cooking Sunday dinner, but now it’s my absolute no brainer meal. I still can’t match my late mum’s legendary gravy but, even if I say it myself, my roast potatoes are very acceptable!

Sorry! Too many wines commas.

Every Sunday with the only exception being if it's ridiculously hot... I'd still eat a roast but my husband thinks it's batshit!

I occasionally do a midweek roast too, but not the whole shebang like a Sunday.

I LOVE roast dinners though and would eat them every day of the week without ever getting bored! My mum always did 2 roast dinners a week growing up, and I think she still does now just for her and my dad!

Growing up in the north and being working class it was a religion! Men went to the club to see the stripper's, got chucked iout at ten past two dinner at two thirty . Jesus Christ this was only in the seventies so not that long ago. We still have Sunday dinner at two thirty although to my knowledge stripper's are no longer involved 😆

We have a roast every week, but on Mondays. This goes back to when DS was a cathedral chorister and Sundays were too busy to bother with a roast.

Ours varies from a typical joint of meat or whole chicken (often with cold meat/leftovers made into bubble and squeak then next day) to something like liver and bacon casserole - also served with roast potatoes and yorkshires plus veg - or chicken passata which I'm cooking tomorrow with garlicky roast potatoes and broccoli....yum!

Oh it would be so lovely to have a roast every Sunday. I miss my mum's Sunday roasts and am no longer local, so it doesn't happen anymore. DH and I also too lazy to cook our own each week.

I do a roast once a year and that's too much.

I would if it was down to me but DH isn't that keen
