What outside noise can you hear right now?

What noises can you from either outside or from your neighbours? So not noises that are being made from from your own family.

I have just heard the air ambulance go over (I live 2 miles from base), I can hear what sounds like somebody shoveling gravel and also my neighbour banging around in his kitchen (he is incapable of doing anything without making a racket!)

Very distant him of cars, our main road is shut off for seven miles every night this week for potholes or bushes or something.a train! God that must be miles away

I live in a tiny rural/seaside location unfortunately everyone else who lives here is retired and is maniacal about fucking garden power tools from 8am to 8pm

I'm at work on a night shift. Can hear one of my colleagues tapping his iPad, another sleep breathing and the motorway we are right next to traffic.

I sympathise. I used to live in the Garden District, which is where I learnt that Egyptian drivers use car horns rather than indicator lights or brakes.

Seagulls and traffic. I'm nowhere near the sea so I'm not sure what the gulls are playing at, but I live on a busy dual carriageway road so the traffic noise is fairly normal.

Air ambulance is an amazing charity

Lots of birdsong, interspersed with some building noise from the ongoing and seemingly endless construction of an extension just down the road, and the odd car. We’re close to the entrance of a long cul de sac, so don’t get tons of traffic, but some cars do pass.

When the wind blows, the latch on a gate over the road squeaks in way that totally infuriates me. When I can’t sleep in the night and everything else is quiet, I can even hear it through the double glazing. I’ve got windows open this morning and it is driving me up the wall.
