Hello! I have cleaned two kitchen drawers out today. And washed the shower curtain.
Currently up to date with routines but i have a yearning to make the place feel a bit more homely. Unfortunately I have a good book on the go and am struggling to put it down!

Took garbage out and washed out garbage can before putting new bag in;
washed kitchen floor;
swept deck;
wiped out microwave;
did a load of laundry and hung up.
(Then spent the day at the park with Havoc)

Morning; busy couple of days here:

To do

• chase plumber to come and quote for radiator replacement - DONE
• measure walls to see how much wallpaper needed
• finish the back and forth with accountant today - hopefully our numbers all tally up
• office needs tidying as I've been pulling out all kinds of info
• VOTE - passport at the ready
• am doing an open water swim course Saturday, need to check kit list, think all I need to find now is a brightly coloured swim cap. Have already watched the briefing video.
• I need a plan of attack for getting the house ship shape for next weekend's secret party :-) but that is underway. Luckily I will be home alone most of next week so I can get things done without too many questions. All people will see is the kitchen, garden and bathroom so that is going to be the order of priority (unless it rains and all bets are off)

Hi all- not alot going on here. DH is unwell and one of the aged cats is very unwell and I am just trying to keep on top of things. Did 2 loads of ironing though.

• deal with Waitrose delivery
• take dog to vet - monthly jab and check a funny lump
• change a bed
• wash bedding
• normal wash
• put washing away
• order frame for picture
• plant some of the new plants we bought (including lots of lobelia!)
• start switching winter to (almost) summer clothes - which means a pile of ironing and some clearing out

I have got a very long list today which I am hoping to do in very short bursts. Got a boost of energy after a gym session this morning, I may collapse later !

Focus toay is the office as I may be sleeping in here next week if we have guests over the Eurovision weekend.

• Hoover flaking paint of bathroom ceiling
• Recycling down from office - DONE
• Put passport in a safe, memorable(!) place - DONE
• Put bags/satchels away in closet - DONE
• All art materials in chest
• Put empty filing inserts in filing cabinet
• Sort books on bedroom floor into alphabetic order- find a home for them
• Stack filing all in one place
• Exercise equipment in one corner of office - DONE
• Put tools back in shed
• Pump up exercise ball
• Put WD40 on squeaky exercise bike
• Store new shelf in cupboard until it can be put up - DONE
• Back and forth with accountants is done, just need to work out next steps - DONE

To buy:

• Bathroom sealant - ORDERED
• No more nails - ORDERED

DH is on the mend. DCat is deteriorating rapidly. It is a watch and assess day by day situation now. She only two weeks ago had a full checkup with blood tests and an ultrasound due to losing weight but everything came back more than fine so think it is just old age. No idea how old she is... we got her 13 years ago as an adult cat when she was abandoned. She's eating,and purring and snuggling but the end is near.

Other than this things are just trotting along. I charity shopped a bag yesterday of childrens toys.

I am looking at Flylady fans on youtube and trying to get some inspiration for cleaning.

Good morning everyone. Some impressive lists here I see! I was awake with Havoc at 6:30 which worries me since gymnastics is at 10am and a sleepy toddler doesn't do well in a semi-structured setting...
I have got a load of laundry in and will get it hung up and another load of clean put away before going out.
It's a rainy day, so it might be a good day to tackle my kitchen later. 🤞

The day has started well [sarcasm] with a 13 year old having a full on tantrum; an ill DH trying to sleep and a poor cat who has now become incontinent and has weed all over her bedding.

Bedding is in the wash.

Teenager has been banaished to his room and had electronics confiscated.

DH is still trying to sleep

SpringLobelia is trying not to let it all get to her and is planning a trip to Aldi quite soon for drinks of the alcholic variety.

A day of washing and ironing is on the agenda. I am hoping that I can get 100% finished on all the washing. That will put me in a good spot for the week. Some of it may be in front of the Coronation coverage.

Oh, the other task of the day is to give DCat a gentle shampoo and blowdry. She's always been a funny one who has loved being washed (she gets in the shower with us!) so we think she will like that.

@SpringLobelia well , that's one way to start the day. Glad you clarified bedding went into the wash. 🤣
I've been awake since 1:45am, it's now just past 2:30am. Had checked Havoc after waking and smelled a poo, so a clean-up was needed and now we're both unable to fall back asleep. We're cuddled on the couch and I'm going through the tv channels watching coronation coverage. This break in sleep is really going to throw my day...

Got back to bed around 5am and was up again with Havoc at 7:15am. Hadn't planned on vacuuming and washing the kitchen floor, but Havoc threw a pyrex measuring cup on the floor and it shattered into a million pieces travelling far and wide. So, after cleaning that up I turned the dishwasher on and the day is underway. Putting laundry away is next on the list.

Ah @Mumtobabyhavoc if it's any consolation DH did exactly the same this week with a pyrex jug (well nearly- he didn't actually throw it but the result was the same!) Clearing up was a team effort but we are still finding the odd missed bit of glass a couple of days later.

I hope you are all enjoying a nice long weekend. I watched a bit of the coronation with my mum yesterday. She was all nostalgic for her 13 year old self and family watching the last one on a black and white tv which like many people, they'd saved up and bought for the occasion.

I'm trying to get back to doing at least one small project each day that'll stay done. Today I plan to do something about my sock/underwear drawer as I bought socks yesterday. Most of mine were getting very worn.

I have a grand plan to have sorted my whole wardrobe (such as it is!) by the end of the week.

I came across project 333 a while ago and loosely follow it, but I've put a little weight on so may need to reconsider some of my summer clothes. I also need to address the weight gain but I'd like to have something to wear while I'm doing it.

One section of kitchen counter has be cleaned, bleached and reorganized!!!! I've got white towels in the wash, also the be bleached and bathroom was cleaned last night.😃
Have got windows open to air it out and can hear music from down the block - church street party.

I feel swamped at the moment.

Any time I get some work this happens (and it always seems to be urgent).

Today we set out to go the the aviary with the kids before lunch, not realizing that all roads in a ring around our house would be closed for the day for a marathon with only two well hidden routes in or out.

Aviary itself was closed in the morning anyway (because of the marathon) so we had a quick trip to the play park and then tried to go home.

An hour and a half later having been driving round the ring of road closures trying to get home without a break in sight we went back to the aviary (by this time, open) and had a late lunch.

Home now but exhausted.

Tomorrow I would like to have a day off but suspect I will actually divide the time between work, organizing the school carnival, and trying to get going on recruiting replacement parent organization officers for next year...

I just dropped my house key down the side of the scales on the shop till! I am not sure they believed me that the key had gone down there, but after almost taking the scales apart we found it wedged down the side. I nearly had to get my sibling home from work on their first day back in a month :-)

Busy day today after BH weekend with lots to do over the next couple of days to prep for surprise party at weekend - as well as work !

• electrician coming to quote for some work at some point today - DONE he is coming tomorrow
• Amazon delivery coming at some point (that I need to stop sibling from answering the door to) - EN ROUTE
• chased up food order from M&S - DONE
• doggo will need walking - she has become used to going out early while sibling on leave. She is following me round.
• I need to empty my wardrobe ready for dismantling and moving, so the plasterer can look at the ceiling. - IN PROGRESS. If the plasterer wants to come on Saturday to do all the bits he has quoted for, I don't know how I can cancel him (sibling is dealing with him)
• Chase cake maker - DONE

Right best get some work done....

I've had some success with my sock drawer and have mown the lawn. My kitchen surfaces have got all cluttered again so that is a job for today

afternoon all- just dashing in and out to say hi and have not forgotten you all!

DH still ill. cat ill and we are waiting for a vet callback today.

I am a tad swamped and apologise most sincerely for the post and run. Hope to catch uo properly soon.

I have to purge socks, too.

Had an appt at 9:30 and was out of bed at 7:30. One load of laundry in, dishwasher on, breakfast made, rinsed deck with three buckets hot water after sweeping and then managed to get dressed etc and to appt only 6 mins late due to construction traffic.
Back home and laundry in dryer. Going to fold and put away other clothes now dry.
Taking Havoc to park and plan is to finish cleaning deck and clean/tidy more of kitchen counter while Havoc naps.

Right quick fly by to get myself into gear today:

• electrician been and all work done - didn't realise, stupidly, I would be without power (!) for a bit. We now have an outside light in the alley so can store the bikes there, outside power supply and a new light fitting in bathroom. Hoovered up after them.
• Cake chased and all good. Today they are doing the fancy bits for the top, so should be ready tomorrow.
• TheNiece came round to do some prep for a photobooth thing and decide where tables etc are going yesterday.
• Ordered paperplates, cutlery etc.
• Might squeeze in a trip to the tip tonight as all the boxes around etc are getting on my nerves.
• Plumber come round yesterday to measure for replacement radiators - need to chase quote if not here by weekend.

When I get some time, I will read back, hope unwell DHs and cats are better soon, and banished teenagers have been unbanished

Hi folks.

Yesterday:
-tidied house for cleaners
-stayed in for concrete repair people and got front steps fixed

Today:
-retrieved DS's lost stuffy from his therapist
-acquired bling as specified by DS for Teacher appreciation week

• picked up prescription for DH

And did some work. And wiped DD snot many times. We all have The Lurgy again 😢

I’m still here and lurking but just overwhelmed with RL/family stuff. I’ll be back!
