Love Kate's coat today, anyone know where it's from?

I think she looks very stylish.

I thought her coat looked fab, as did the hat.

Imagine having to faff about on christmas morning having a formal breakfast then getting changed to go out to church and having to have your hair/make up done before the world media scrutinising you. She must bloody love William to tolerate it all.

I’m not a Kate fashion fan generally, she (understandably) dresses too old for her age, and this is no exception. The comment up thread nailed it - she’s a genius at making a McQueen investment piece look like Karen Millen. And as for that hat…

She looks great. I've liked her style for years. I don't think she looks like she's got an eating disorder, I'd say she looks a normal size.

Women can’t win here. Too thin = eating disorder. Too fat (by MN standards) = greedy cow. The inability to understand that women are quite normally different shapes and sizes is so strange.

I doubt Kate has a eating disorder.... I think she is just very very disciplined with food and exercise. As for Louis in shorts, that's standard for royal boys and it wasn't particularly cold today was it? It's certainly warmed up recently after the cold snap.

I loved the hat. Coat was ok but I didn't like the breast pockets.

I wore a petrol blue cord pinafore and a blue and pink flowery shirt with petrol blue tights and dark brown boots. Dark brown old suede coat. She looked better than me 😁

She always dresses much older than her age. I wouldn't describe her as particularly stylish but each to their own.

Boys at plenty of prep schools wear shorts all year round.

Kate is tall and naturally thin. Some of these catty comments can only be inspired by jealousy

Eh ? She can’t help how her ribs are they are bone you can’t diet them away! I don’t have any fat on my ribs and I’m 50 and don’t have an eating disorder.

Eh? I'm pretty sure my rib cage is the same size at 39 as it was when I was 22 (the covering of it may have thickened up a bit, but then I'm likely much less disciplined in diet and exercise than Catherine).

Nah she was healthy looking in her early twenties, not so much now.

Being as thin as that looks good in photos but in real life is a bit uncanny valley. Shocking when you see the difference.

Tbh the level of thin that you have to be as a celeb is brutal. Any slight weight gain and it’s endlessly discussed in forums and the DM sidebar of shame 🤦‍♀️

Where are the buttons?

The overall look was nice, from a distance and I love that shade of green (no pockets though) and the style of the waist down was very flattering - but there seemed to be a kink in the brim of the hat , and yes, the colours were not matched/well. The rule I was taught by my seamstress grandmother - better a good contrast than a bad match. (Or is that in romance?)
I do think she is "too thin" (if I dare say that) - and I have been there with an ED - she is like the ultimate ectomorph body shape, and probably works hard and/or stresses the weight off.

As for my Christmas day attire - (outdoors) same old leggings, furry boots and a red Musto top that at over 20 years, still looks like new. But back then I did not fill it out - nowadays, I could go in fancy dress in it, as a postbox.

People on this forum have neither the budget nor the resources to pull together similar outfits. Surely you get that—or do you think the plebs should just shut up if they’ve got a critical opinion?

She's a lot thinner than she was in her twenties. I've seen her this year IRL and she's frighteningly thin. But we all have to pretend not to see it.

When watching the clips of her walking around during the carol concert program (the in between bits) she looks veeeery slim.

Yes, she wasn’t overweight in her 20s, I always thought she looked healthy and slim, however 20 years on she’s significantly thinner. And even more so in the last year or so. However she’s had what looks like from the outside, a tough couple of years.

Beatrice & Eugenie were born into the family and they've had a pretty rough ride, criticism wise.

I noticed Beatrice was also in green today; just more fuel for the Daily Fail's 'they're biting back at Meghan' campaign
