How long were you and DH together before engagement and then marriage

Feeling sorry for myself and want to see how our situation measure up to others.

Together 9 years, both married before and said never again…we were wrong married since 2018.

Met at the beginning of March, mid March the next year I gave birth to our first child. Got married in between. Madness! But still together more than 40 years later.

We started dating in January, got engaged in March, married in October. My first child was born the following October!

I'm still waiting to be engaged after 4 and a half years. Although my Mum and stepdad got engaged after 5 years, and 18 years on still not married. Do not expect.

We were together four years when we got engaged, got married just after a year later then first child three years later. Been together 12 years now. We met early twenties.

Engaged after 7 years, married 3 years later.

Engaged after 5, married after 6.

With each other for 2 months then engaged for 5 months, but had been friends for several years before that. Still married after more than 20 years.

Together 6.5 years.
Got married 6 months after we got engaged.
Married 10 years and counting.

Engaged at four years and married just after 5 years.

1 year to engagement
Another 6 months to the wedding
Had 10 year wedding anniversary this year

3 weeks to engagement, moved in together at that time though it was considered living in sin back then. Married 2 years later. Been together 42 years.

Never had a formal engagement. We always knew we wanted to be together, we talked about growing old together a lot (bit much, I know). We had a vague plan of getting married when we had studied and felt more secure.

Around 5 years in we did set a date to get married but I wouldn't let him buy me a ring because I was doing further study and we both grew up with very little and I did not see the point (neither of us are romantic).

Also our families are toxic and don't like us so it felt weird to announce an engagement when we knew people would not celebrate it or be happy for us.

After 7 years got married.
Been married ever since for 10+ years now, 3 DCs, been through ups and downs together and very supportive of one another.

6 weeks until we got engaged and then we were married 7 months after that. Married nearly 8 years now.

3 months to engagement, 15 months to marriage, together 13 years. What's your situation, OP?

We got engaged at 4 years in and were married 15 months later.

3.5mths to engagement, 15min to marriage and 15yrs in.

We got married 6 years after we met but we met when I was 16 so getting married at 22 was still very young if I'd been older when we'd met we would have gotten married faster I think.

We didn't really get engaged, had a conversation where we decided to get married, Went online and booked it for a few months later, we got married in vegas so booking the flights, hotel and wedding chapel was pretty much it for organisation.

Started going out with him when I was 18 he was 24, got engaged the Christmas after my 20th birthday, got married the Christmas after my 22nd birthday. Been married 16 years!

Met August 1990. Discussed marriage about 6 weeks later but didn't actually get engaged until October 1991. Married September 1992.

Got engaged on 5th anniversary of us meeting

Married 9 months later. I was 30, DH 27

Got engaged after 5 years and married 13 months later. Fell pregnant on our honeymoon. We were 20 and 22 when we met.

Engaged after 11 months, married 16 months after that. We knew we'd get married soon after getting together, but we'd been friends for a while before that. Together 34 years now.

Got together in March, engaged mid May and discovered expecting our planned baby end of May 2007! Didn't get married until 2015 though as we had 2 more kids and no money to!

Together 4 years when we got engaged, were due to get married 18 months later but covid hit, so wedding was delayed a year
