We had the Skye Boat song played at my mum's funeral, she used to sing it to us when me and brother were babies and toddlers.

I was just reading there are representatives of the NHS in the procession, maybe it’s those ladies?

I love how the white horse in the second row is looking about and 'nodding' to the guards hehe!

Maybe those ladies are ladies in waiting then. They are younger than I imagine her ladies in waiting would have been.

Thanks! That’s better ideas than we had - ladies in waiting but they seemed to young for that!

I think most of the ladies in waiting are a lot older (think 70s and 80s), so I can't see them marching.

This is really fabulous. What a woman to have almost every world leader present at her sending off. It's testament to how admired she was. Plus, the British really can do pomp and ceremony like nobody else.

We went up there today, and it was very busy! I agree about the phones, though. Why do people feel that they have to film everything they do and see? Rather than...er... actually experiencing it first hand. Very irritating when your view is totally obscured by a sea of phones...
