Horse's getting restless

Fgsvirgin · 19/09/2022 15:40

Did anyone notice Beatrice and Eugenie nip out at the end of the service at Westminster Abbey? Before the rest of the royals left.

pinkyponkyplink · 19/09/2022 15:40

Is there another minutes silence? My kids were playing up and I ended up shouting at them to be calm and now feel rubbish!

JudgeJ · 19/09/2022 15:40

LIZS · 19/09/2022 15:26

It still looks a very long way to the castle

It doesn't seem to get any closer!

CaveMum · 19/09/2022 15:40

I think HM would be having a little chuckle at the naughty horses! She was very amused apparently when a Regimental Mascot, a Shetland, tried to eat a posy of flowers she was carrying!

LIZS · 19/09/2022 15:41

Or camera positions.

This is impressive to see and hear.

CaveMum · 19/09/2022 15:41

Long Walk is 3 miles apparently.

pinkyponkyplink · 19/09/2022 15:41

What are the names of all the guards?! What role do they play?

RubyJam · 19/09/2022 15:42

Amazing horsemenship to keep the horses under control , especially with the minute guns going off.

IpanemaChic · 19/09/2022 15:42

Queen’s Corgis are apparently waiting for her at Windsor 😥

User287264 · 19/09/2022 15:42

I dont know anything about horses, what do you do if your horse decides it's not going to behave itself? Do you leave the procession somehow before the horse majorly kicks off? Or are thse horses so well behaved that that just never happens? They're so big, I imagine one could dk a lot of damage if it had a mind to

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 15:42

That's up to the horse, not what they are doing, they are doing roughly half

MenopauseSucks · 19/09/2022 15:42

@JudgeJ
Hidden security were probably the people not holding up a mobile phone but actually paying attention to the parade!

I thought they nipped out to get in the cars before the rest of the royals left the Abbey. (I might have got the timing mixed up though).

Goldpaw · 19/09/2022 15:42

Is this procession still going on???????????????

I keep flicking onto iPlayer thinking they must be at Windsor Castle by now. But no!

TheQueensCousin · 19/09/2022 15:43

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet but I'm delighted that 'Tall' Paul Whybrew has such a prominent position in the ceremony 😢❤️

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 15:40

Where is bell comings From?

Sebastopol Bell at Windsor Castle

Andante57 · 19/09/2022 15:43

I’ve found a piano arrangement of the Johann Heinrich Walch/ Beethoven funeral March so I’m going have a play through that when the ceremonies are over. It’s such a moving piece.

pinkyponkyplink · 19/09/2022 15:41

Dismounted escort of Household Cavalry, mounted division of Sovereign's Escort (the ones around her carriage at state occasions), officers of the Household Division, massed pipes and drums of Scottish and Irish regiments.

caz114 · 19/09/2022 15:44

oh Nimrod! I'll be crying now

She absolutely would. She loved it when the horses misbehaved on ceremonial occasions. As did Philip.
There are a lot of fairly inexperienced horses in the cavalry just now.

PlacidPenelope · 19/09/2022 15:44

Bit of dodgems going on there with the horses.
