@treedragon there are other channels or you could choose just not to watch TV

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 14:39

Red button watchers, who was that elegant lady with the bouf ?

purpleme12 · 19/09/2022 14:39

Who knows 🤣

MrsTimRiggins · 19/09/2022 14:40

Nice to see an absolute fucking idiot stood there with their two dogs, one a small terrier and one a husky type, repeatedly dragging them back. Lovely for them I’m sure 🙄

LIZS · 19/09/2022 14:41

@HansZimmerframe red button has no commentary or interviews so they are showing the hearse en route and Windsor

Flapjacker48 · 19/09/2022 14:41

Who is the chap with medals riding in the front of the hearse?

antelopevalley · 19/09/2022 14:42

WildfellAnne · 19/09/2022 14:27

Well, I assume it was worked out that they wouldn’t. I’d expect most people to be able to hold their bladder for a few hours. Or they could have been wearing pull-ups…

Adults can hold on for a few hours, young children are different though. I assume they would have just taken them to the toilet if they needed to go.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 19/09/2022 14:42

Well, so far that couldn't possibly have gone any better; admittedly there's been years to plan it, but we really do this kind of thing rather well

caz114 · 19/09/2022 14:44

Yep, queuing and parades- no one does it better!

TheWernethWife · 19/09/2022 14:45

I wonder if George is in Navy to mirror Williams navy RAF uniform he’s in today

If I remember correctly, Charles wore navy at Princess Diana's funeral.

MalagaNights · 19/09/2022 14:45

It was spectacular.

I thought the BBC filmed it beautifully. Very carefully planned & framed.

There was minimal commentary & it focused on the queen and the ceremony and avoided any of the soap opera potential.

Just beautifully done.

I don't mind the cheering. I think it's because it's an acknowledgement of just how magnificent she was. Not the same need for a sense of tragedy as other funerals such as Diana.
This is a recognition of an inspirational life well lived.

DutchessOfMuck · 19/09/2022 14:33

Is there another service at Windsor now?

Oh yes! I think it's at 4pm. I think it's televised again and then she's having a private non televised burial for the family this evening.

To stop the gun carriage bumping up over the kerb stones

What is? I missed the question.

GuyFawkesDay · 19/09/2022 14:49

Have to admit Edward's tears and a few of them getting choked up did get to me. It must be so hard to have to behave a certain way, in full public glare when grieving for close family.

I so hope someone has put some money behind a bar next week for the pallbearers and navy who were incredible. What a responsibility to have to carry out.

JedEye · 19/09/2022 14:50

That drummers arms will ache like buggery tomorrow

And the piper’s cheeks!

Andante57 · 19/09/2022 14:51

Yes I agree. Also I hope we find out that the poorly naval rating was ok.

Andante57 · 19/09/2022 14:52

Did anyone see the three rowers standing on their boat as the cortège went past the Thames?

PPPPlease · 19/09/2022 14:52

@HansZimmerframe bbc1

2bazookas · 19/09/2022 14:53

@LetMeSpeak

Clearly you are not following BBC coverage, which has mentioned several times how the Commonwealth expanded in recent years, and included interviews from many of its leaders (not from Canada, Australia etc.)

KosherDill · 19/09/2022 14:53

Poorly naval rating?

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 14:53

It must be so difficult for the hearse driver to keep driving so steadily when his windscreen keeps on getting hit with a bunch of chrysanthemums

Oh I didny realise one of them.was poorly? Was that during the parade? How awful for them.

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 19/09/2022 14:54

@weddingDecliner are you watching this with your eyes closed?

Hundreds of thousands are lining the route.

Blossomtoes · 19/09/2022 14:55

I don’t think Charles lll will have a comparable funeral, it’s the 70 years reign that makes this so special.

bellac11 · 19/09/2022 14:55

Is there a clip of the naval rating (whats a rating?)
