I'm watching BBC Ii player on my kindle and the Royal Navy ratings look tiny compared to the Welsh Guards. I know they are wearing Busbys but from some angles there are giants and other people teeny tinies. Is it the device I'm watching on or do I need new glasses?

ok I get this funeral is important to some but to flood the TV channels with the same thing denying choice is a bit naff.

They’ll stop manufacturing anything referring to the queen as soon as logistically possible, but it’ll take a while. I expect we’ll see stamps circulating fairly soon - not sure if they have the portrait for that yet, but they get through stamps quickly. Probably we’ll also see the ‘By appointment to HM the Queen’ change fairly soon, but individual companies will take differing times to update their packaging manufacturers. Currency will take a while to get into circulation I should think.

I think Royal Warrants have to be re-applied for; something to do with the number of years a company has supplied the household or other arcane batshittery — I love this kind of fun fact 😏

Oh right. Interesting (might it be etched, or engraved?), and rather what one would hope. New shoes are always a bit slippy I've found.

Thanks for the explanations about military uniforms, I'm from another country originally where the policy for veterans/retired personnel wearing uniforms is quite different :-)
