FFS, now my neighbours are sanding the wall behind my tv!

Why can people not understand the rules about uniforms?

Every member of the armed forces knows and understands that once they are no longer serving they will not wear uniform unless they have reached the rank where that is allowed. That doesn’t in any way take away from their service nor their pride!

No need to get snappy. Some people know very little about the armed forces except when there are parades or memorials and there’s plenty of old boys in their uniforms. It’s not as though the commentators ever say ‘and here are all the generals in their uniforms, the regulars are all in civvies as they are not allowed. I’ve never heard it mentioned before now.

Flies usually, or if they've got foam on their mouth some do it as they don't like the feeling
Mine would do it when she wanted to trot and I was stopping her but they look quite chilled so imagine it's probably flies/midges

Thanks @PeloFondo

Definitely boost tourism,no doubt about it. And support for the monarchy.

BungledBundle · 19/09/2022 13:25

Which is this funeral March pls? It's my favourite of them?

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 13:25

I hope someone at the Barracks is lining up trays of bacon Baps and mugs of tea for all those naval ratings

MinglingFlamingo · 19/09/2022 13:25

Dont know but I bet they're regretting their choice of shoe

One of them was starting to really struggle with her footwear just after Buckingham Palace

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 13:19

How many miles is this journey anyone know?

It would take about 35-40 minutes to walk it usually- I complete the circle when I walk my dog and it is an hour (unless lots of tourists trying to take pictures)

The guard at Westminster School/Abbey has dog biscuits in his hut.

Butterflytown · 19/09/2022 13:25

She was sat on the second row next to princess Eugenie.

OrangePumpkinLobelia · 19/09/2022 13:26

NOW I am sniper spotting! never noticed before.

That's interesting about the horse shoes.

Benefi · 19/09/2022 13:26

No need to get snappy People are getting frustrated presumably because the implication is that it's a deliberate and personal slur against the Duke of Sussex.

Yes, it's both upbeat and sombre at the same time.

excelledyourself · 19/09/2022 13:26

Forgive me if this is a stupid or ignorant question, but how long until money, stamps, etc are changed to an image of Charles?

I'm asking because I'm eating a bar of Cadbury's and it has 'By appointment to her H.M. The Queen..."

Bouledeneige · 19/09/2022 13:26

I was just thinking I fancy a bacon sarnie after all this hard work lying on the sofa with my medal on

cakeorwine · 19/09/2022 13:26

The bearers have just marched all that way and now they have to carry the coffin

Are there some on the arch?

HansZimmerframe · 19/09/2022 13:27

Are those snipers on top of the arch or media? I'm guessing snipers?

BadlydoneHelen · 19/09/2022 13:27

We have particularly noticed the hat men who hold all the extra busby for the pall bearers in our house

Sorry really didn’t mean to be so snappy. It’s just been explained over and over and over again this week. But of course I appreciate that not everyone will know. That was more directed at the people who’ve had the rules explained and then persist in going on about how awful it is.

However I do not think that this is the right time to argue about it and I apologise for being overly combative.

Mine are having some kind of party! Balloons in the garden and a table laid out with drinks…. Lots of celebratory noise.

Their choice and their right I suppose 🤷‍♀️

This. It's always said to imply that 'poor Harry' is being snubbed in some way.
