When are you putting your heating on this year?

Just that really. Our thermostat is always on 17. It's now 15 in the house. Might turn it on? Seems early though.

We're on an older fixed tariff, thank goodness.

@nannybeach I'm in the UK

Our house is around 18-20 through the day and we are still keeping the windows open to air the house; so for us, still very comfortable. Will switch to our winter duvet in the next couple of weeks I think.
We're hoping to get well into October before turning it on, which is pretty standard for us.

I'm very pleased that we've got this far without turning ch on, but I do get cold in the house. Will probably be negotiating with DP about it soon.

We always try to wait until October (think we've always made it) but this year it's going to have to be November at least according to DH. We have a seperate hot water tank so have to heat it up which warms the bathroom (it's in the bathroom).

Still got summer duvets on the bed though plus blankets. Our winter duvet is super heavy so holding out a bit for that.

I have a oil filled radiator to take the chill off when I'm home in the day on my own so hopefully use that a bit more when we are all in one room before we put heating on.

We already had it on a couple of weeks ago when there was a cold spell and will have it on again this week as it is turning colder.

We usually have it serviced around October so I like to have tested it all and check for any leaks around radiator valves, although the boiler is only 5 years old the radiators and pipework are over twenty years old, so we do get the odd small leak or stuck valve or thermostat. I generally go round with a bit of kitchen towel checking for any dampness on all the thermostats and bleed valves just before the service.

Mine’s set to 17.5 atm and hasn’t been on at all. I’ve got hive, the app tells me that my house temp hasn’t dropped below 20.8 yet this month.

I’ll just let it do it’s thing but I’ll up the thermostat temp to 20 once it gets cold outside.
