I hope the person that fessed to that was the same person who did the M&S thread. Perfect pairings still cracks me up.

mangomama91 · 22/08/2022 20:48

What!?
Gosh that makes me so mad... I just snapped and farted!!

Inklingpot · 22/08/2022 20:50

Afterfire · 22/08/2022 20:43

Of course a lot of crap here is made up. Is anyone surprised by this?!

Tbf, pointing out that MN is stuffed full of trolls is a bit akin to ‘dog bites man’ as a headline.

I’m not bothered about outrageous or funny stories. Ones about illness are horrid. I’ve had a lot of support here and the thought people have deliberately made up a child illness depress me. (I do know that some posters like that can have actual issues such as mental illness.)

m Taking everything with a pinch of salt and just enjoying wild tales is a bit of fun.

justthinkingagain · 22/08/2022 20:52

If this goes viral we will be in for even more teenagers doing the same ‘cause they saw it on Twitter. Can’t wait for that.

ButtOutBobsMum · 22/08/2022 20:53

Fuming

SplendidUtterly · 22/08/2022 20:55

There is a post knocking around on here at the moment where the OP is crying over pizza. Funny part is the OP was traumatised about cake the other week. People get bored i guess 😆

mothertrucking · 22/08/2022 20:45

Just imagine that little liar could post on this thread.

Wink
Dalaidramailama · 22/08/2022 21:00

This place is a cesspit. Common knowledge.

mothertrucking · 22/08/2022 21:02

@FessHole I ❤️ you 😂😂

I think this is the main problem really. This site is no stranger to people posting long-running bereavement, child/relative illness threads where so many gullible posters jump on the buswagon to wave their pom-poms while shouting down anyone who raises concerns.

It’s one thing to post a load of old shite about your CF neighbour nicking your parking space then sit back and watch the poems roll in but playing on the emotions of people who have genuinely experienced bereavements, child deaths etc is quite different, imho.

stillvicarinatutu · 22/08/2022 21:03

I hope the one with the mum stopping her dd horse riding bec she is having a new baby with new bloke was a troll tbh . Notice it's been taken down by hq .

PotatoFamily · 22/08/2022 21:03

I have recognised three people from real life on here, all three of them talking absolute bollocks about their lives…dishing out advice on parenting, relationships etc when they’re in abusive relationships and their children have been dragged up. 🤣

Sparklingbrook · 22/08/2022 21:04

I don't do Twitter but can't imagine wanting to look at FessHole, presuming it's where you can confess to stuff that you may or may not have done-it's probably full of made up claims too.

New favourite expression Grin

Cornettocat · 22/08/2022 21:07

I don’t care it cures my boredom too & some are so creative, even if I think it’s fake I’m just so invested & feel so unfulfilled when a post gets taken down before it gets to the ending, I need closure dammit 😂

GhostFromTheOtherSide · 22/08/2022 21:07

Most of what is posted on here is made up, or embellished at the very least IMO.

It’s pretty despicable to e.g. make up a child’s illness but the rest, bad relationships etc are just like novels and people need to just read them for what they are. It concerns me more that people become so over-invested in these stories to the point that people express that they’re really worried for OP etc, and I even saw one recently where a poster said they’d been losing sleep over a thread.

MarmadukeSpillageEsquire · 22/08/2022 21:08

Cheers, kid's crying now xoxo

Let’s face it, you’re not mumsnetting properly unless you’ve been sobbing and shaking.

And spitting tea on keyboards

Eyesofdisarray · 22/08/2022 21:10

Probably claiming to post implausible stuff is a made up claim 🙄
The bereavement trolls are worse- how could you? And just- why????

TheWeeDonkey · 22/08/2022 21:11

Ah, that explains pizzagate! Not the Pizzagate obviously, but the current AIBU pizzagate.

Summersdreaming · 22/08/2022 21:11

The troll defenders are as bad as the trolls. You can be reading the most implausible nonsense and you can guarantee there will be a number of posters twisting themselves in knots trying to defend the OP, and attacking anyone who calls bullshit. Those ones fascinate me. I wonder how they feel when the threads get deleted?

SpilltheTea · 22/08/2022 21:11

It's a shame when an entertaining thread gets deleted before the OP can finish their story. People lie in the comments just as much as trolls, that's the internet for you.

ScreamingMeMe · 22/08/2022 21:12

Afterfire · 22/08/2022 20:43

Of course a lot of crap here is made up. Is anyone surprised by this?!

Absolutely not. But equally, can we trust that the tweeter is telling the truth?

Sparklingbrook · 22/08/2022 21:13

The joy of that happening is you can have any ending to the story you want.
