PTSD from Tinder Ghosting

So I don’t know if anyone here has been following this so I apologise if there’s already been threads about it, but if not I wondered what people thought of all the online talk about supernatural forces causing trauma by using online dating to lure women into especially spirit receptive locations, then abuse them in supernatural ways. “ghost in the machine” I think is the phrase when a spirit uses technology in this way. Makes sense when you think about it, why wouldn’t bad spirits adapt to a technological world just like they adapted and haunted ships and aeroplanes etc? It’s logical when you think about my it.

I read several really traumatic accounts from women that had met a man they came to know as “Daniel” on tinder and went to a location to meet him (which was a house in Yorkshire) where once they arrived they were greeted by “Daniel” and he let them into the house, but then he disappeared and the door slammed shut and wouldn’t open. Then for the rest of the night they were haunted in the dark by voices of Demons calling themselves “Legion” and then at last once the women were really frightened the Demons took physical form and basically gang banged the women for hours until dawn. All the women said they kind of just woke up in morning and the door was open and they were in a derelict house.

Not surprisingly all of the women have PTSD about this as well as trauma from being mocked by people who don’t believe them (which I think is really nasty considering the assualt element)

I just wondered if anyone had had any experiences like this or knew anyone who had? And what they made of the whole thing? Also do you think Spirits are now being influence by online misogynistic dating culture and it’s radicalising them to do these kind of extreme hauntings?

I don’t know maybe I wouldn’t use tinder or other popular apps but would use a smaller app for now for safety. I don’t know

I’m not dignifying this with a response.

that's a no then?

Given the whole wispy, see through not real ethereal nature of ghosts - can they actually - you know 'get wood'?

asking for a friend

Shouldn’t it be ‘Woooooooooood’?

that's a no then?

Pop into my deserted house on the moors and I’ll explain in person.

If you do decide to come, could ypu bring a locksmith? The front door keeps jamming. Been wanting to get it fixed for a while. My tech skills only extend to Tinder, haven’t managed to infiltrate Google just yet.

I’ve had my integrity questioned and now my virility. I would not describe this thread as excellent.

ParasiticMicrowasp · 20/08/2022 13:25

@DanielTheGhostGangbanger Only your bodily integrity. And the wood question is a good one, to be fair. No blood > no blood flow > no wood. And that's leaving aside the actual lack of flesh.

@Leafy3 you’re missing out, there are some good guys on tinder, the best relationship I had was this guy, I think he is still on there, we only split because he worked in hospitality, worked all hours and used to hang around his hotel bar more often than I liked, the hotel gave me bad vibes especially the bar man, red flags 🚩 date was a nice enough though.

What about this man - he runs the family business on his own?!

Call me Mrs Fuddy-Duddy, but if you can't afford to buy a drink in a pub I'm not sure you ought to be concentrating on trying to find a relationship.

[has only read page 1, deliberately misses entire point of thread]

Hi,

Was having a good morning til I popped online for a spot of Mumsnet browsing.

I just want to say this is fake news. I am definitely not a ghost and my username is just a weird coincidence. My ability to float and look a bit transparent are not relevant to this conversation.

As I’m here, I was just wondering if any gullible …oh er sorry, ignore that….I mean gorgeous women fancy a date in a derelict house on the moors. It’s definitely not haunted and absolutely won’t involve any demon dick. DM me huns.

Demon dick Grin

@BringBackCoffeeCreams

What I mean is if ghosts have adapted to haunt different things humans have made like haunting ships or spacecraft or aeroplane then why not the internet?

Because there's no such things as ghosts.

ghostyslovesheets · 20/08/2022 13:38

@WomanStanleyWoman2 - excellent !

@DanielTheGhostGangbanger - I will pop round - bring my tool bag and my holy water - is it okay if my friend the priest comes too - I've attached his pick so you can open the door to him if he arrives first

I think you’ll find that - as the OP describes - I’ve managed to leave many women sexually satisfied. A demon never reveals his sexy secrets.
……..

did I say demon? Mortal man. That’s what I meant. Definitely not demon.

Whew.

DownNative · 20/08/2022 13:41

Nah, there aren't any ghosts haunting people.

This sounds like a hallucination, bad nightmare that seems incredibly real, false memories or snapshot memories of a real attack.

If there's no external, independent, objective corroborating evidence of any kind to explain it, chances are its a mental health issue.

ParasiticMicrowasp · 20/08/2022 13:45

<eyes @DanielTheGhostGangbanger suspiciously>

<I think it's Daniel, anyway - I can't see him BUT I'M EYEING HIS GENERAL DIRECTION>

The spirit of mumsnet is gin, but you can have too much of it apparently.

Sounds entirely fabricated to me 😆

Just popping on to stake my claim on the spiritual stiffy of Gregory Peck.

Thanks all 💀🍆

@AngelinaFibres

I actually do have a lot of experience. It doesn’t matter if people laugh at me, all that matters is that my husband and I have helped many people in this predicament and that’s why I know on a very real level about “Legion”.

Do ghosts know that they're dead?

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 20/08/2022 13:51

If I were a ghost I'm not sure I'd go to all this trouble with Tinder and effort and luring and wooing...

I'd probably just , you know, waft through someone's walls and do my demon type things

LadyOfTheCanyon · 20/08/2022 13:51

Or Gregory Pecker, amirite ladies?

Ah sorry about this but don’t bring your friend please. He was kind of an arsehole to a buddy of mine a few years ago and they’d be upset if I hung out with him.

No problem re the holy water. I’ll wear a rain mac. Anything to get the door fixed tbh.

shinynewapple22 · 20/08/2022 13:53

Wow - I've read some strange threads in here before now - but this really takes the Biscuit

DarkShade · 20/08/2022 13:56

Op, hate to break it to you but. .. that is not what ghosting means in the context of tinder dating!
